And if you'll permit me a tenuous weapons / cars link this was the gear lever on my old VW 181 Trekker.......... Exact 1:1 scale copy of a WWII German stick grenade where did you get that? and would you be miffed if I copied?? Glad you like it, copy away! A mate of mine made it from scratch (he's a talented chap, he makes guns / knives / swords etc for films. You'll have seen his stuff in Batman, Bond films, Gladiator, Private Ryan etc) Slight thread hijack but I'm selling a load of airsoft kit on e-bay at the moment.... www.ebay.co.uk/sch/old62buggy/m.html?item=140641442721&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Currently driving a Renault Wind Gordini as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

midas I love any thing under leaver I have had a go with a .38 original winchester and a .38 rossi with quite a short barrel I loved the rossi and wasnt that impressed with the winchester I love the under lever shotguns I beleave you can get 3 shot ones in this country. This is the 39A, it's been reblued very nicely and works well but the heavy barrel makes it pretty hard work to use a lot. It was in a hell of a state when I got it, Colin at MAG did the reblue and then I had it put through proof as the barrel had been threaded. The brass ring at the muzzle is a thread protector and the third swivel stud allows the use of a Harris bipod. All that said, I'm not really keen on it and it will be up for sale once my renewal comes through with all the variations sorted out.

Oh where do I start? On ticket BSA S10 FAC (28ftlbs) in .22 Marlin 39A Underlever .22 lr Sako Quad .17 HMR Soon to be joined by another .22 lr, a .243 Winchester and a large capacity shotgun. Sub 12ftlb Air BSA Goldstar .22 Venom HW80 Venom Vantage .177 HW35E .22 BSA Airsporter S MK6 .177 BSA Meteor S Bowkett converted 12ftlb .177 Air Arms s410k Taylor regulated .177 Then there's the shotguns..... This one is the Sako in .17 HMR. The synthetic stock is filled with glass resin to give it a bit of weight and pull the balance off the muzzle. The moderator is a DM80 jobbie which does a cracking job and the scope up top is a Zeiler. These are nice rifles and the .17 HMR is a cracking round with the 17gn ballistic tipped bullet pushing 2500 fps. Zero it at 30yds and you are dead on again at around 120yds, unless it's windy......

I've got a Diana model 48 similar to this with a 3-9x40.. Picked it up about 5 years ago for a pittance. Got a gamo compact target pistol shortly afterwards also Nicely balanced but needs a decent sight really. Got a Sig 202 airsoft too, 22 shot bolt action, great fun!

I'm looking at getting an air pistol soon for shooting targets in the garden (I live in the middle of nowhere, so that law I read about being near a road or street doesn't apply) The one that's really taken my eye is the Cybergun Tangfoglio Witness 1911 Full Metal .177 Blow back, purely because it reminds me of playing MOH:AA to death and it looks almost exactly like the real thing. Anyone got any thoughts on it?

You may as well get a c02 pistol for about 100 squid from a big brand such as KWA mate, depends on your budget but KWA internals are very good from what I've heard.

I've been doing a bit of reading up on it. It's actually a KWC, Cybergun are the distributor or something. Apart from the difficulty in finding spare magazines in the UK and a couple of people having issues with double loading if they're going postal with the trigger, it seems to be ok. Plus, real 1911 grips fit. Sold. I wonder if you can get a barelled rifle for it My only gripe, talking to a friend who lives in Texas the other day, he can get a real 1911 for the same price as one of these. Hmmf. Have a video of the one I meant that made me laugh.

Bends 180 degree so can be used for close kills instead of shouting 'bang bang' or similar phrase depending on the site. Also mounts to the m4 I'm getting for christmas as a bayonette. Can't help but love that I've been doing a bit of reading up on it. It's actually a KWC, Cybergun are the distributor or something. If you do decide to go for a KWA or TM, etc they're compatible with real parts (such as grips, not internals obviously) and usually have add ons such as extended mags, etc etc. At the end of the day its all down to choice so just go for what you feel is best for you

Had a couple of Webley and Diana pistols and a Crossman pump up rifle thing in the past, but now I play with Bows and Arrows.
No piccies, but, KAP Winstar 2 Riser with basic Samick long limbs, about 36LB drawer weight at my drawing length. KAP long stabiliser with doinker and weight. Cartel 2000 sight and Cartel Button Shibuya - Ultima Rest Soma - Saker II Tab Goldtip CAA Arrows.
Pretty basic setup but will still reach 70metres plus.
Got my self to Archer 3rd class in the first year, and just short of second class in the second but haven't shot for about 18 months.

My dad used to shoot for Worscestershire if I remeber right, theres a hefty recurve bow somewhere but he hasn't been out in a while now to do it. Such a good sport, keep at it (don't mean to sound patronising about that, I genuinely think its a great thing).

Oh I know, I keep my Archery GB and club dues paid up. My other half lives miles from any clubs, and doesn't have a decent enough sized garden to practice in, so I'm never around for shooting sessions, but I will find another club to shoot for once we move in together. Will just take a couple of months to get the muscles toned again.

mortcars I have plenty of experience with air rifles. are you just after shooting cans and bottles, shooting targets or are you after rabbits and crows? if your just after cans and bottles... just go to your local firearms dealer and get the cheapest one there, it will do what you need. if your after rabbits, crows or target shooting... you will need an accurate and full power rifle. a bsa lightning is "cheapest" gun that i would personally go after rabbits or crows with. here is a shortlist of accurate springers in order of quality (price range from £220 to £450) BSA lightening - 150 BSA lightening XL Weirauch 99s wierauch 97kt synthetic wierauch 97k mk2 Air arms TX200 mk3 Air arm pro sport They all do the job as good as each other. you could buy the pro sport and someone would outshoot you with the lightening, the pro sport is a far superior rifle....but if it is not "you" then you wont be able to shoot it.... so therefore the best technique when buying air rifles is to go and pick them up, try them up against your shoulder and you will know which one is for you when it feels just right. i cant describe the feeling, but you will know it
