Oh blimey, really? Such a shame that it should come to that for you...
I'd have loved one of the Triumphs, but have the usual story of transportation and storage woes.
I hope you get a decent price for everything and can perhaps put the money towards having one really nice car - the CF perhaps?

Hope the newer stuff goes over the bridge first, so the triumphs etc get a second/third/fourth chance

Shame it's come to this. Good luck with it all, hope you get a good price and can spend some of it on the tools you need and a car you want... Cheers Duncan

What are the wheels on the Volvo? Do they bolt straight on or do they need adaptors? What are the tyres like? Are you willing to split parts?
Sorry for loads of questions!

Volvo must go as one piece, as it started by taking the wheels off i'd end up cutting it up. wheels are Unknown Mopar Steels. beleived charger, There are adapters to Jag/jank PCD. Big thankyou to people for your support. Looks like i'll be weighing in a few this week. Got supprisingly good offer from the local yard to o come and collect, but they want all rather than a few, and their offer as a whole is very tempting. No idea what to do for the best!

As much as it goes against me as I don't like anything being wasted, if you have a good offer for everything and it will stop you being up a river without a paddle - id be tempted to weigh the lot in. Unless you have the time to sell the rarer stuff before it get's squished. If the stuff does go to the yard, will it all go for scrap or do you think they would sell the older stuff? (Think I know the answer though lol) *I'll stop spaming your thread now, sorry*

the pug needs some welding not, basically screen suround, and rear door shut. rest is frilly but inherently solid. interior is mint. and mechanically was spot on. I moted it in 2004 and couldnt sell it. Nearly let it go for scrap way back then when it had a ticket. it has deteriorated but very saveable if your Quick before the hiab. both yards who have been don't save anything these days, a quick depol, and straight on the heap. Very quick, car comes in rolling, unrecognisable within 20mins, some times before you even get your money from cash desk. Time really is up. going to try and get some help getting rid of modern stuff, and trying to get some reasonable storage for a few more weeks for older stuff, but after 3 weeks of storage it will be better to scrap. If anyone definately will take something i will transfer to storage a few miles away.

I'd take the scrapman's offer. 'Tis a shame but no one can say you haven't tried - think how much time went into trying to shift the trike and all you wanted was £100.
Remove the cars, make some cash and, most importantly, make a big dent in shifting your levels of stress. Your health and sanity are certainly more valuable than a few old cars!

It's sad but if the offers good i think i'd take it, spend the dough on a dream car/dream project ect and buy lovely tools with the cash..
Surely the cash from all that scrap would get you a good way into the GT40...?
obv it would be madness to scrap the GT40/single seater, tilt bed lorry , Jeep cherokee ect, but i'm sure you know that anyway..
Wish i could take the GT of your hands, but i just don't have the space/time for a big project it'd cause me more heartache than love i'm afraid..
The only thing (amongst the cheap stuff) that if it get's squashed would make me really sad is that lovely little peugeot but if no-one will give you cold hard cash for it.... Like has been said it's not like you haven’t tried..

you do have another welder though just as said the Pug needs some! i should have a pub bottle off my old bust welder. must go pick it up from guy who was supposed to repair it. no problem with waiting a week with pug as its behind 5 other cars atm!
I can't beleive whats going to have to be weighed in. cheap lexus v8 donor. a uno, £150 for a car that will fly through mot, and more charm than a modern eco box. the bx.
What annoys me more is the curse word that has to stay. AX gt, Fiat tipo 3 door, Rover Coupe. the various R19s all other family members cars that need work, that i'll have to do but i Cant get rid of them. Still waiting for my brake clips for musso as well, so simple weigh ins are in the way. no point me stripping them, as end up with lots of unmoveable objects in the way

If you sign the stuff you don't want to scrap over to family members would that be a way arround red tape?

Your more than welcome to store any cars on my driveway free of charge... Only as long as the logbook is in my name haha seriously wish I had a bit of cash right now. Seems a crime to weigh these motors in...

I have a "hobby" sip welder (an older one from before they became crappy welders with poor wire feeds) thats better suited to use with disposables for the little bits of welding that i do from time to time. Also worthy of note is that its ready to accept a euro torch socket making it real easy to convert if your that way inclined.
