So - here is my Austin Metro 1.3L, which I have owned since July. I've done a fair amount of work to the car since I bought it back in July, and someone is going to be very happy to own her. It's a shame to see the car go in a way, after all the trouble I went to to get it in the first place. After winning the car on Ebay, I flew down from Inverness in Scotland to Croydon to collect the car - 17 hours and a couple of breakdowns later, I had it home, and got about getting her into shape. I replaced most of the cooling system and all if the ignition system, and had the distributor converted to electronic ignition, and got a professional to give it a good tune up. Car was then fully serviced.
I have removed the 'L' interior, and replaced it with a nice Vanden Plas interior, so upgraded door cards, rear panel cards with armrests, carpets, gear lever and handbrake gaiters, rubber dash mats (full set of 3), leather steering wheel etc. I have replaced the push button original MW / LW radio cassette with one which is capable of receiving FM too. I didn't fit the wood cappings for the front door tops, as they need to be sanded and revarnished, but they can be included if the new owner wishes to fit them. The original interior can be had with the car if required, as it is in extremely good condition as seen in the pictures.
Externally, there is very little rust - a little bit on the rear arches, plus a couple of bits on the offside front wing which have been treated and painted, but no rot at all. Otherwise, save for the odd scrape commensurate with age, the car is very clean. Inside is also very clean as you can see, and the new interior enhances that.
Engine wise, it now runs well after spending some time and money sorting it out. I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, some of the pipework etc and given the system a good flush, and filled with fresh coolant. The distributor has been converted to electronic, making it more reliable, and the cap and arm also replaced. Coil has been replaced. Plugs, leads, filters and oil all renewed. Fuel line from pump to carb replaced with a braided item. Carb has been cleaned and properly set up. I have added a new grille, along with a new rocker cover with chrome bolts. Beyond that, there was a new exhaust fitted just before I bought the car.
The car has around 44500 miles on the clock, which is backed up by lots of old MOTs, the most recent of which expires next June. Part service history is there, but more importantly, evidence of lots of money recently spent. All the manuals are present, and a Haynes manual is also included.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I will do my best to answer them quickly and accurately. Viewing is encouraged - I'm free most evenings and at weekends.

The road tax is out on 31.10.2011, so I'll be taxing it again rather than putting the car on SORN, but buyer will need to pay for the remaining balance of this in addition to the purchase price if they wish to keep the vehicle taxed. If not, I will remove the disc on the day of sale and surrender it for a refund.
