ok firstly.
the fiesta is a std 1.1 it has the good webber carb and a new exhaust it is completely std runs really nice and quiet not tappy. burns no oil and is not leaky returns 40mpg and is not sluggish (brought me and my wife and child plus luggage back from holiday a 110m drive with lots of long hills and 60 to 70 was no problem anywhere)
the body is really good.. it had one surface scab on one rear arch that was sanded back to bare metal and a dent in the passenger door before it was sprayed (have before and during pics too just ask)
-suspension wise it is lowered around 100mm on chopped springs. but will do most speedbumps ok will touch exhaust on higher ones
-it has spax adjustable shocks on rear and mk2 xr2 for front.
-the front struts are drilled on top bolt hole to give 3.5 deg neg camber for arch/wheel clearance
- it will rub on full lock and bumps when almost full lock but for normal everyday use it hardley touches
10mm higher or 155 tyres would sort this.
-all arches are rolled and pulled before painting
- I have modded the panhard rod on rear to be adjustable.
- runs porsche 924 14" terantula alloys in new milk chocolate brown paint
- before paint a few choice body mods were done.
appart from the arches it has the rear wiper and ariel removed with nelded in new metal and a skim of filler to smooth.
- also orig bumper mount holes on rear quarters and wings done same.
- has nice chrome skinny early bumpers on it now.
has a debadged front grill
-nice mountney stearing wheel and snooker ball gear knob and period pioneer radio cassette with widscreen mounted airiel
just jump in and drive!!!
bad bits/unfinished.
the inner wings where they meet the wing drip rails needs attention 2x 50p to credit card sized bits on drive side think its just surface on passenger.. and engine bay needs a general rough back and paint (see pics)
there is other little thinbgs like the rear tailgate lock needs a wiggle to use (just like all old cars should)
it needs some rubber trim around the drivers side window as the stuff on there is cut (see pics) Got a good one now just needs fitting
and the paint although very good is strait out on the gun there is one run on the rear abouve the rear light 10 min job to block with 2000 and polish
and roof needs a de-nib as if you run your hands on it there is some small bits of dirt in it..
its 3 heavy coats of propper ppg 2 pack though so it will last very well..
I think thats everything always best to have a look and drive your self
I will take any pics you want specific just ask...
bassically its a very straight and clean fiesta that needs very little (we were going to go bullet mirrors chrome handles and a brown vynyl roof to finish )
Location is ba3 near bath in Somerset..
Cheers all
Si
oh yeah and 1450 quid is what is wanted now it reflects the need for various touches needed where front wheels have rubbed the paint off front arch edges wheel curbing and a small blow in needed where paint has reacted and bubbled where aerial hole was welded up. offers invited but very near please.. or offer your swaps/px too..
got someone coming to look at car today.. 9/9/12
