Thanks for all the replies, been getting on bit by bit, made some bracket to help support the bumper last night. It's got a stand at a big show on the 25th of March so ehh, I should probably get my a*se in gear. As for the linky no worky situation. Hopefully this pics will come up. £80 ain't to shabby for a set of 5 like. OOOOOOOOHHHH YES. *churchill dog voice*

Okay so literally just in, I'll admit the photo's aren't great but I've been out there for a few hours and was beginning to lose feeling in vital limbs so sort of threw it together. I'm working for the 25th March as that's when it's *hopefully* going to a show, if I can get it finished in time, it may have to go non-running but will hopefully look the part. Bodywork time again, so lots of sanding, filling, more sanding you get the picture. On with the photos! My tools of the trade: Made the below brackets up to hold up and stiffen the back bumper, as there is no support as there would be standard, the cable ties that were holding it on for the guts of a year finally came off and I'm really happy with them, being as small as they are they actually support the bumper very well, chuffed. the below photo looks pretty ugly but they actually sit very neat I think, in real life: This number plate surround was cracked in a couple of places but I'm using it anyway, it's a track car after all. Fibrofilled over the cracks for abit of strength, and filled in the keyhole, debadged it and filled in the pinholes to make it smoooooth, that's the idea anyway. Filled in the number plate holes on the front bumper, yet to have a splash of isopon though: Same idea with the washer jet holes on the bonnet: Got a fibreglass bootlid molded up and made, very happy with it, very light over standard (anyone wants one made pm me for details) Aerial hole glassed underneath and now smoothed over the top: Some pics of general bodywork nasties I have dealt with tonight: And how it looks as of 20 minutes ago (abit sorry looking haha) To provide me with a little mojo boost this arrived today

Looks pretty cool mate!
As for the rear bumper supports, I think that going over a bump at speed is going to place one hell of a lot of shear force on them so don't be surprised if they don't hold......I reckon you should weld in some vertical flanges underneath to support them like a shelf bracket would.

Okay, so, alot has been done since the last update, I was in a rush to get it to a show on the 25th March, which sadly didn't happen (3am saturday night I called it quits). But there ys go, I got alot done in the runup. Since then I have repainted the interior, engine bay and rollcage. I also polished the rocker cover, as shown in the pics. I riveted on door covers, took a template from an mx5 doorcard and hoked about for the lightest flimsiest aluminium I could find, as it's really once to fill up the ole' and cover any sharp edges. I also mounted the seat, which turned out to be very time-consuming when runners had to be welded in to make sure it sat right. As of tonight a small flyscreen has been mounted, I will get some pics of it later. From here on in, now that all the aesthetic stuff is nearly done or is done, I will be moving on to wiring the megajolt and firing up this bad boy. On with the pics! Seats runner all polished up

That looks SO HOT!! Love the overall look of this, love the colour, the graphics, the bodywork. Most of all, I love to think of how much fun this thing will be? I think I know the answer ;D Thanks man, I really appreciate it as I've seen your cars and skills As for if it will run, if anyone has wired megajolt before get them to pm me with any tips haha, it would appear I've jumped in up to my neck. The slots in the arches were satin black'd today also but I've no pictures as yet. As for the best out there, I wouldn't say that, built outta all the scrap nobody else wanted would be more appropriate haha!! Not too sure about the boot graphic it wasn't exactly what I was thinking, there was one similiar on the front but it really had to go, looked far too out of place. Again really appreciate all the comments, I'm 17 btw and this has been a HUGE learning process for me, which is really what I needed, as I want the firenza I have bought to be minted. And moneys havent been withdrawn from the bank of dad for any of this, everything so far I have paid for myself from my job stackin' shelves or from hours of working on customers cars and floor-sweeping, haha believe me I am not let off with anything.
