Well, what cars would you liked to have seen make the production line and not be simple one offs? Here are some of mine: Triumph Fury: Triumph 3000 V8 Saloon/Estate: Ford Ka 1.7: MGB Roadster V8: Ford GT40 Roadster:

On the Triumph idea- 2Dr Dolomite Sprint to take on the Hot Hatches- A cheaper 2Dr Toledo 'Vitesse' with a tuned 1300- (I know this uses a redtop but anyway!) And a proper run of the TR7 Sprint- So the 2.0l 8v as the base model, 2.0l 16v as the 'Sprint' and TR8 There was also a pretty cool Mk1 2000 that had been turned into a convertible, cant find any pics though. It was in Triumph World a year or so ago. This is the only one i can find and it looked a lot better- triumph2000register.co.uk/?p=778

I have never seen photographic evidence of it, but apparently Jaguar trial fitted the Daimler Majestic Major 4.5 V8 into the mk10 Jaguar shell. Apparently it was superior in every way to the triple carburettor 4.2 XK powered version & they still decided not to make it - ridiculous!

Ford Ka 1.7: Would that be the 1.7 Yamaha plant from the Puma? I had a normal Ka while I was at Uni (S952MRS, where are you now?) and I tested a 1.25 conversion that a boy was selling. It was mechanically flawless and much better than the 1.3 but, sadly, uninsurable for me.

He's sat down? I know they're a bit behind the times in Scarborough but i'm sure chairs had been invented last time I was there. ;D ;D I don't think it was ever a prototype, but i'd love there to have been a Mk3 Cavvy estate, would have looked fantastic. Matt

I don't think it was ever a prototype, but i'd love there to have been a Mk3 Cavvy estate, would have looked fantastic. I'd never thought about the fact they made a mk2 Cav estate and Vectra B estate, but never Vectra A (mk3 Cav). Anyone on here good with potato shop? I'd be interested to see ideas! ;D
