Proper job! It's one thing finding barns full of rare J-tin.......but to actually rescue them all is epic. I'm sure you just lived out many an RR'ers dream. It's nice to know that there are still hidden treasures out there waiting to be discovered.....my turn next please Good luck with your new collection.

You are my hero. That is the greatest find and score of any type of car I have ever seen. I think you have more early Celicas on the trucks than exist in Connecticut today. Great story. Thanks for posting this. Ray in CT

well done jabraan major mojo boost? ;D we all know you don't just become lucky but you have to work hard and search high and low...........sometimes the pointers you get lead to disappointing finds but sometimes they end up like this! you deserve these 16 and i hope they all end up with genuine j-tin enthusiasts! am dreaming i get a phone call someday of a barn full of datsuns somewhere! ;D and i agree simon aka HKP would have been the most enthusiastic if not hysterical poster on this forum looking at this find!

That's quite some find. It's good to see stashes of stuff like this are out there. I'd wager there's still a fair few old Japanese cars hidden away waiting to be found, mainly due to the rise in interest in them being a relatively recent thing. One day he paid a visit to his local car auction where he didnt have a clue what model the Galant was but loved the styling of the body being a direct copy of the RA28 celica... I'm pretty sure the Galant GTO arrived earlier than the RA28. It was first shown at the 1969 Tokyo Motorshow and went on sale in 1970. RA28 was 1973 in Japan I think. Nice though the Celicas are, I think the GTO is the most amazing find there. Seriously cool looking hardtop.
