.... breadvan, skåpbil well there are many names for these things. I have always been a comercial vheicle fan, pick ups, vans but the sedan delivery has always rated high on my list of need to own cars, remeber replacing the rear side windows with sheetmetall on a Cal Look Bug and getting tons of comments on it (sadly 80% hated it). Lately I have seen some real cool "bread vans" like the Spanish Opel (here a while ago), Golf 2, Opel Corsa and when in Denmark a while ago I saw a bunch of them on 70's & 80's cars like Citroen DS, Volvo 240, etc. Sure a 4 door wagon without windows in the rear side looks cool but a 3 door hatch or wagon is even cooler, a bit more in the style the sedan delivery was back in the 30's, 40's & 50's, I even sugested to the dude here with the Kitten to "sedan delivery" it, I just love the look..... The legendary "Breadvan".... These are common in Denmark and quite cool.... But it must be a sedan delivery on a regular car, the Polo based Caddy, R4 van, etc. don't do it for me..... DP asks: What do ya all say, am I daft.......

I love the whole Sedan delivery thing, I only ever need two seats and often need to lug a load around. Saw Nitemares van the other night, now there's a proper sedan delivery...
Must find some pics.

I've been wanting to turn a Volvo 240 estate into a panel van for AGES ... does that count as Sedan delivery?

I've been wanting to turn a Volvo 240 estate into a panel van for AGES ... does that count as Sedan delivery? Hell yeah! Would that be the 'easy' way (panel up the windows)... ... or the hard way - 240 2-door doors (i.e longer for a balanced profile), plus moving the door pillars, junking the back doors, bracing, plugging the hole etc..... Cos that would ROOL.

Cos that would ROOL. When I had the cage made for the Estate the main hoop comes up from the rear seat riser, so would sit perfectly in line with a B pillar if I two-doored it a la the proper Pog method. I ruled this out a couple of years ago in favour of engine mods instead... I've had the doors off and was going to weld them up with tabs, binning the hinges etc for weight saving. This thread has just given the me the horn for a sedan delivery though... Not that I'll actually ever get round to doing it.

When I used to have my Datsun 100A estate, I always fancied making it into a panel van. Even knocked up a couple of potatoshops to see how it'd look...
