My MGB GT is running 15" Minilite Knock-offs from KN with 185/60/15 Pirelli P6000 at the moment. Having knock-offs reduces the available rims to almost sub zero, so I'm thinking of converting to a 4x114.4 lug pattern instead. I'll keep my knock off rear axle as it's narrower than the bolt on axle so that I can get some deeper dished rear rims. I'd like to run 15" or maybe even 16" So, what should i look for? A lot of J wheels will fit like ROTAs etc. Or maybe some BBS RS' I'm open to suggestions P.s I'm running a Ford Blacktop 2.0 Zetec on DCOE45s so hopefully it'll have some performance

Stag wheels are a straight fitment on a MGB (used on the LE version)

If you want anything bigger than a 14 then you'll most likely have to go with some of the modern repros from Rota or Konig. The vast majority of original old school JDM rims are no bigger than 14. You do get them in 15 occasionally but they are rare, pricey and very limited in choice of styles. Also with the repros you can get 8j and 9j rims which are mega spendy widths if your buying original rims from Japan.

The Wat's I've got are 16x9.5 and 16x9 think they'll do a 10 wide, but why you'd want them is beyond be, tire choice is next to nil and the scrub from the steering will be horrific.

Thanks guys, at work atmo so can't see pics, but please keep on suggesting. Since I'm changing the rear to 4-link with coil overs and the front suspension with coil overs aswell it'll be possible to hit the car with a C-spanner ;D If you do sell your knock on minilights drop me a PM. Shipping from Norway would be horrendous

Amazing. Those rims looks fab on the MX5 but the same looks nasty on the 510 IMO. As a B is more akin to the MX than the 510, they might just work!

Anyone care to Photoshop the XXR wheels on an MGB GT? How about something like this?

I've been thinking the same about my Scimitar (same 4 x 114.3 PCD as the MGB). RatDat covered it : most retro or OEM stuff will be 14" or if you're lucky 15" (80's Supra / Corolla AE86 / Datsun 240z / Nissan S13 ) 16" and larger means JDM gear, and so far anything suitable I've found is massively wide...well, for a Scimitar :-) But then I am looking for ET-5 or thereabouts. MGB offset is likely to be more common. But keep the idea coming chaps, as I'm benefiting from your ideas here too.

Did these (poor quality) potato-shops for a thread Bryn posted ages ago....... ......IMO any JDMish style wheels with a decent slam on an MGB would be epic! Get on it ;D

Like the last one as well. The one with the bright orange/red centres might work if the interior would be in the same colour (aarghhh, my eyes!!) XXR do some other wheels to, in case if you aren't sure about them
