There's a darton sleeved block for my civic I'm looking at on another forum as it's going stupidly cheap - reason being 2 of the bores are scored due to piston rings being fitted incorrectly.
the bores are currently 75.5mm and would need to go to 77mm to get rid of the scoring, meaning i'd need custom pistons...
anyway, is it ok to rebore a sleeved block? how much does it cost/ does anyone know where i can get it done?
the block, including eagle rods is £250 and both have done only 1200 miles so i think it's worth it? the rods alone cost that new..
I'm viewing it on weds night - is there anything i should look for that would make it unuseable?
sorry for the n00b questions but i have only ever bought complete running engines before...
