Audi / VW central locking alarm confused

	Went to use my audi 80, and as I turned the key in the door lock to unlock it, it unlocked as usual, but made the little chirp to indicate the alarm was set! Then when I went to start it the alarm went off! If I then lean out of the windows and lock the doors with me inside the car starts fine! So basically it now arms the alarm when you unlock, and dis-arms the alarm when you lock! It does the same no matter which lock you use Any ideas?

	need more info (as usuall), year would be nice? Mk4/5 golfs suffer from cracked soldering on the door lock switches, easy but fiddly fix done a few in the past then again some audis suffer with water in the imobiliser, again depending on the year ??

	No being an Audi 80 (1993) its central locking system is the old air system, as found in MK2 and mk3 golfs. Turns out simply leaving the battery disconnected over night has fixed it! Thanks anyway!
