Is there any alternative to the electric assist on the column as on Corsa B/C?
I know about electric/hydraulic systems - I just wondered if there was anything out there that was similar to the later Corsa setup?

I did read somewhere that The MG tf has the same powersteering as the corsa, eBay has some half the price of a corsa one.

What's the problem with the Corsa one, out of interest? Too pricey?
I've got a Corsa one with an adjustable trigger module going spare if you're looking for one!

Thanks for all the above guys. Does anyone know if the MGF or Sceicento units have an individual ECU like the Corsa?
Like I said - I was just wondering. Corsa ones do tend to be more expensive that i'd expect.
Turns out one of the guys in the GTM OC has the MGF setup in his Libra.
@joe76. Typical. I drove past Hereford 2 days ago. I'll pm you.

mate at work has just has his other half's punto column in at work to repair an intermittent fault on it
all the web guides state the the relay (2x) contact burn out, but he found a snapped wiring contact and all the relay/pcb connection joints were dry joints
Changed the relays anyway's £18 ebay, but then you have to recalibrate the motor sensors etc using the fiat software and a modified em137 cable
at the end of the day maybe the corsa ones are more reliable

depends if you want to replace a PAS rack to a non PAS quick rack and have some assistance you can just use an electric powered hydraulic pump to feed a conventional PAS rack. saxos/106, merc a class and some of the later astras use them. can be mounted wherever there is space, just need wiring up and the pipes making up for the hydraulic side of things ;D
