I'm not as impressed by them as I though I would be. First time I saw one run at a RWYB I thought "this is gonna be good." Then it ran a high 14 or mid 15 or something. Really not as quick as I was expecting for a car that is supposed to be small and light with a V6 in the back There was one at CaRS that was running similar times too.

Light... who told you that. They're amazingly heavy for their size.

One of my father's crazy creations, a R5 with a 2.9 V6 in the back a good few years back, unfortunatley was never properly finished due to us closing the Garage we had at the time. My 205's a bit of a pocket rocket, 1.9 16v converted, will do around late 14s 1/4 mile, standard engine.
Best by farwas a lad i met yesterday though, ph1 Clio 16v, running a proven 279bhp, VAG 1.8 20v Turbo running gear from a TT shoe horned under the bonnet, on Emerald management and a few tweaks obviously! Allegedly left an FQ340 for dead!

honda crx, they were rapid for a 1.6 considering when they were made. and with turbos doshed on there these 1.6 engines are consitently knocking out over 300bhp, reliably too may i add!

There's a chap down South called Trevor Crowe, who has a small block Chev shoehorned into the back of his Skoda (130 I think).

See - I like the idea of 16v minis...But they don't half look silly with extended bonnets/wings.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

yeh theres a lot which can be done to change that. but that is an off-the-shelf quick fit solution. clubman fronts fit without extension

I'd put the MR2 Mk1 forward, cos thats where the brief was going. Not quite pocket size or rocket powered and weigh a bit more than i'd exected but plenty enough for a buzz.
However i have seen one with a Turboized engineered lump doing 10 sec quarters, now thats inspirational!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Also a few twincharged ones going about which are insanely fast. penski, Yup i would love a mini that looked no different on the outside, then has the 16v head on it to really make it shift.
