This has been posted on Practical Classics forum. Its an Anglia that has had a "makeover" For MTVs Pimp My Ride. Personally I think it sucks big time, but as someone has said,it may attract younger people into classic cars. Any opinions? The innocent victim ;D

I class myself as a 'younger person' being 18 I like the colour and the interior as they have stuck with a classic/retro look with the dials and check but I'm not a fan of the grill. Like the headliner too

Horrible... don't like it at all.
The only good thing to come out of Pimp My Ride Uk, was the Gold Minor that they done in the first series, I'm my opinion...

I'd need to see more of it than just the front to judge the outside side but the inside looks nasty. The paint looks good though.

I must be mellowing in my old age[34]. I used to really hate stuff like this, now I merely dislike it. I do however apprecate the effort and enthusiasm that's gone into it.

Yeah I need to see more of it but I quite like the interier. I definatly think its been styled for a woman though as I personaly would feel well intouch with my feminin side if I drove it..........

Other than that hideous Bel Air console and the grille, I don't mind it at all.
If the grille was just flames it would be better.

I quite like it, in an old-skool throw back kinda way. At least it's pinstriped!

That is not a feminine styled car! The inside being all red is a bit garish and clashes with outside and the console is naff but I like the checked headlining and the purple paint looks cool as does the pinstriping. The grille is a bit dodgy, would like to see what wheels they have it on. It looks a lot like a purple frog though :S

Like it. Much more in keeping with the style / roots of the vehicle than previous attempts. Ask yourself - if you saw it at a show and didn't know it was a 'P-M-R' car, would you be impressed? As long as it doesn't have a tea-tray bolted to the bootlid.... Oh and I'll bet that it's still running an asmatic 1200 lump trying to turn 17 in multi-fit wolfrace wheels

From what i can see i relly like it. I'd have it, not mad on the Bel air console either though.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Jenn what I meant was even though I don't find it offensive I do feel that if you asked a hundred women and a hundred men that there would be more women stood next to it than men.
Anyways PMR should be nocked on the head and chip foose should get his ass over here.
My 380 is beggin to be foosified.....................

Looks cool but would need to see more.
Clearly done as an American 50's tribute and does it well.

Not really my bag - but to be honest, as long as it's on the road being used, fair play. Another classic has been given a new lease of life and as a result is now one large step further away from the big yard in the sky
