Wow. Just....WOW. Sat here with tired aching legs and feet, momumental sunburn and a fuzzy head (mainly from Friday night...even at almost 47 I still have a tendency to go too hard, too soon....) but still buzzing my head off at what was one INCREDIBLE weekend. Pics tell a better story than I ever can, so I'm (as always) going to throw one or two taster pics into the ring, then provide a link for you guys to dip in and choose your own favorites. I'll drop some more on there tomorrow when I've copped some ZZZ's. Before I do that though, I just want to head up the photos with this. As those of you who were there will know, Becky, partner of the late and much-missed Simon 'Hongkongphooey' Baldwin, drove his Toyota Corona down this morning from the East Midlands, and along with Simon's parents, picked a recipient of an award in Simon's honour. I'd just like to say Becky if you're reading this that it was an absolute pleasure to meet you this morning, I only wish that the circumstances could have been better. Thankyou for coming down today, it can't have been easy for you...and I hope that the photo above goes some way to showing just how utterly GORGEOUS that car is, and what a fitting tribute to Simon's skills and knowledge it is. Anyway. I think we have some cars to look at. Pick Yer own: www.flickr.com/photos/damaged23/sets/72157627486218452/A HUGE thankyou from me to all the Event Crew for an utterly FABULOUS weekend. ;D

On top of about 12 large bottles of San Miguel/Cobra/Tiger/Tsingtao. exhibit AIt was like drinking Nitroglycerine. I was imagining the campsite had some kind of time/space interface running across it, and I was stumbling incoherently from one parallel universe to another, in search of the way back. Except that I wouldn't have been able to actually spell any of that on FB. ;D

More thanks from here too, me and the Kids had a fab time. Katy was made up being able to drive herself there with John as a passenger in the Nova. They even managed to put up the tent while I was working, dicking about, getting tattooed, making stickers, walking dogs and then getting lost on the way there (Thank you to Brian for the drunken directions to get me there ) Also thanks to David and the crew for leaving the gate open so late See you all Friday 17th 2012 if not before

A steady hand, I like to get up close with the lens as wide as possible and I'll freely admit I tweak them with either Photoshop Elements or (in this case) Windows own photo editing tools to bring the colour out if needed. Camera's nowt special (3yr old Nikon D40), photographer's nowt special either. I just get them how I like them, and I'm glad you like them too!!

I love them!, The K70 snap really looks professional i think!, I use PSE9 but still struggle to get such good photos, even with a £500 camera!

Hiya Brian
Thanks for your lovely message, it was great to meet you too. Me and all of my family had a really lovely day a BIG thank you from us for everyone involved.
Simon's award was emotional but it was also very fitting.
We went around a spoke to quite a few people at the show and most had shared some form of interaction with Si on the forum, its really comforting for us to know how well respected he was.
A worthy winner of the best modified Japanese car at the show in our opinion, was Gareth
All of you guys made it a really hard choice though there were so many amazing cars there.
Ive been to enough car shows with Si to know what he would have liked there and he would have had a tough decision too.
Ive been looking at all the pics this morning, some great ones up. I hope you all had as good a time as we did
Becc

An excellent show. Extremely well organized and great standard of cars. The glorious weather was an added bonus! Even the drive home was great fun seeing so many cool cars amongst the usual motorway dross. Many thanks to all concerned.

That home brew managed to get at least 5 of us on our backsides and cost me about £12 to make. Probably worthy of the stickers I put on them on Saturday ;D
