A lot of work for you then Mark! Will one set of batteries last 90 mins without having to effectively detune or slow the cars down? Vacuum bags, Aluminium welding and composites are exciting possibilities! Looking forward to updates as you go.

Previous run per set was 80 mins, so it will slow the cars down a touch. There still need to be at least 3 drivers, so we seriously need to up out driver change game, with more pit stops relative to the time spent racing.

Hi Phil, both cars qualified for the national final, finishing in 15 and 16 places in one of the two heats that day, and I think 20 and 21 over the two heats. Just gearing up for 2015 now. This year the national final will be at Rockingham rather than Goodwood, and will be held over two days. No news on the format yet though.

Good stuff. I have an electric mountain bike (made from kit of parts) would quite like to build an electric car or pickup some day. (charged via solar panels at home)
