I found it at Sandown toy and model fair. Didnt know what i planned to get and the transit was the only thing that caught my eye, i probably paid over the odds for it but i don't care, and I'm not even into fords! I was suprised too see its got a metal chassis, seems quite heavy. Also bought a signed ben collins stig picture for the bro in law for christmas. And his next birthday, and probably next christmas aswell! Ah right, thought I was gonna have to start searching some of our UK shops then for a minute! Going rate for one on ebay would be around £10-20 including postage. If you were to look through the rear windows you'd see the mid mounted GT40 lump inside the Transit! Nice find

Nice find Ok, that makes me feel better, paid £15 for it but sometimes you see these things and don't really think about finding it somewhere else, just gotta have it lol. Ive looked in the back windows while i shone a torch in the windscreen and i can just about see the engine! Has to be the most wonderfully pointless awesome detail ive ever seen on a diecast. Worth the £15 in itself! Forgot to say i also got the simpsons family car for my neice for christmas, possibly the best pearlescent pink ever.

Some recent additions of mine, though I have to say, my collection is getting silly now. Upwards of 600 boxed Hot Wheels cars along with more loose '70s, '80s and '90s Matchbox/Corgi et al than I can count. Might be time for a thin-out soon. Anyway, here's what I recently bought. First, this. It's neither MB or HW, it's Greenlight, but when it's this cool, does it really matter who makes it? Then there's a smattering of Escorts. I have three blue ones now, but only one white one. I would trade a blue one for the pink Simpsons car. Just sayin', like. Recently the Mrs. scored these. She giddily told me that she actually made an excited squeak upon finding them. I think she's a keeper! I opened one and glues it to a special mount, so as to make the most of its hovering nature... Finally, here's three I just got from B&M Home Bargains. All for £1 each, so well worth checking out if you have the means. Plus, long card stuff is always nice. Oh, and this from eBay. Payed slightly over the odds for it (still less than a tenner, mind) but I don't mind, as I've wanted it for an age. Chris

Hi Chris, I'd love to swap my boxed Simpsons car for the Escort. I've been looking for one since I first saw them, although not actually found one yet. Send me a message and I'll post it out!

And luckily for you, the Escort is exactly where I left it, unlike everything else I own (currently moving house). Ta! Chris
