You have a good eye for seeing potential and then actually pulling it through. Have you thought about starting up your own thread for custom builds on small torque ? Maybe even some how to's and tips? Would be invaluable for some of us who are keen to also start customising. Nice work👍🏽 Thanks, means alot when it get apreciated. I might start a thread when I carry on with the car transporter. If you give it a go the most important thing is to check that important dimentions line up, for example the transit and wrecker transporter both have unmodified bases, the cabs are just the right length that nothing needed cutting. The VW transporter lined up amazingly well, i chopped the front of the original kenworth chassis and stuck the front half of the hotwheels VW chassis on the top of it, making sure it all lined up straight, and stuck them together with araldite. Once that was dry I covered the chassis wth a sheet of clingfilm placed the 2 halves of the body on the chassis, and stuck it together with more Araldite. Araldite doesnt stick to clingfilm as I discovered by accident, and is VERY handy to know. Then there was minor filling, and I cut a deeper groove in the front of the chassis for the front axle to sit slightly lower giving it more ground clearance, and job done. The Hotwheels Diary Delivery (Cab for the 3 car transporter) was easy enough to shorten because all the body lines on the side of it were dead straight and parallel, if they hadnt been it would have ended up in the bin. Plenty of trials have ended up in the bin, i don't mind wasting a pound, but if I carry on for too long I get a bit miffed when Ive wasted my time. The improtant thing is picture what you want in your head before you start and stick to it, take your time because each step is really important to get a good result, Araldite and Milliput are your friends, as is an emery board for sanding. And a dremel with a cutting disc. I'll got into more detail when i carry on with the next one, theres loads of little bits I do that ive probably forgotten.

bmcnut I have to agree, I've never known it so bad for finding new stuff. Empty bins everywhere, or if they're not empty it's old stock. gotwood that is one hell of a haul! Love the Aoshima stuff and the Lupos and Up! are cool too.

I went into a certain toy store yesterday and made an entire peg of R32 Skylines. I was quite surprised to see the variation in the colour between the five or 6 cars I had going for a really dark blue to ones that looked like they had a light on them. Couple of R33s as well. Found a white R32 but it was in a set of I think 10, and it was the only one I wanted so couldn’t justify it. After leaving and going to Halfords I found a long sought after Quattro sport. I was well chuffed. But here are some pictures anyway. If i’m honest, I’m not entirely sure why I bought this. I really wanted the Torino and Nova but somehow ended up with this one. I do love the box art though. These are always well stocked where I go. Don’t particularly like the real car, but hot wheels have nailed it. Not sure how I ended up with another one of these... The elusive Audi. Every shop I have been in I have looked for one but never found it. Only when I stopped looking my friend found one when I was stood right next to him! Oops. I have another one that my girlfriend got me for Christmas too. She was with me when I found the holy grail of Skylines yesterday so I wasn’t allowed to buy any. My dad went to a toy fair at the weekend and bought me this Husky Buick Electra. It’s the second Husky I have and the other is another big Yank Tank. And looking at the two of them I’ve realised I really like them. Are these models appreciated by anyone else here? They seem cheap and the plastic seems to fall apart with age by the looks of some others I’ve seen, the proportions aren’t quite right and the quality isn’t there. And yet I feel like they really capture the essence of what it was supposed to be.

Nice work👍🏽 It's all a lie! there is a hidden shop out there, and along with magical dust and a mystic spell, the door only opens for this 'talented' chap! in he goes to purchase another rarity from the 3 eyed shop keeper...who knows everything.... (except the one about the nun and the chicken!)

Chances are I'm going to go mad on saturday. Its been very depressing down my end over last months however........ Saturday night just before the store shut i wondered in to get some ice-cream and did my usual toy isle run and to my surprise it was adorned with carded beauties. Only had a fiver on me so sacrificed the ice-cream and snapped up two r34's and a r35. Hopefully prices and sandown wont be too much higher than what we pay for at the till and besides I'm after a few OO guage pieces for my daughters train set/layout. Is there an admission charge?

Is there an admission charge? linkOpens at 1030, admission is £6.50 for adults, and with "over 500 stalls" it works out at just over 1p per stall, so not bad! From memory Hotwheels start from £1-1.50 each for mainline ones, up to whatever you want to pay for imports. The last time I went there were more Hotwheels than I have ever seen there, but that doesnt mean it will be the same this time. I'm sure they'll be plenty tho, tbh I pay the entry fee just to see the stuff thats there, buying stuff is a bonus. #I'm not sure my link is working, but if you google 'sandown park toy fair', you'll find the details you need.

After telling myself that I wouldn't be buying any more Hot Wheels for a while, I walk into the local Sainsburys and see that they have a freshly opened box on the shelf... Rained myself in and only bought 3 in the end... Very pleased to finally find a T2 pickup in the wild and the same with the Mk2 Golf. Although, I've got to say, the casting for the Mk2 is quite poor detail. Also, it's a big bumper model on the card, but a small bumper model in the blister; not that that is anything special, from what I can gather they are all like that.

I don't mean to sound 'upper-class' here but I have noticed that Waitrose of all people are selling Hot Wheels now and they seem to be largely untouched...
You can all thank me later!!!
