I remember looking at these in ASDA, and as I remember despite what the packet said, I think they were bigger than other 1:64 scale cars. But they were pretty cool never the less! Do asda still stock these? |

Tesco have 5 packs on offer at the moment, 2 for £10 instead of £7.50 each managed to smuggle 2 in to the house whilst the wife was at work! Also added a few more to my 50th Anniversary set  Are they all in red as well as the blue? Will endeavour to finish off that set soon as well  |

Only seen red Hotrod so far.
And I've yet to find a blue Escort.
Everyone is asking £5+ for a mainline and I'd rather do without.

In fact all in that picture are Majorette of differing ages (except for maybe the Blazer tow truck now i think about). The Transit crew cab actually comes with a spec lift for recovery.
The XM also has an opening bonnet.

Got the cab filled and a coat of primer. It needs a bit of work on the other side but I'm happy so far.   The idea of using the matchbox car transporter is a no at the moment. I was watching a rough one on ebay and it sold for more than I'm willing to pay, so i don't know how much an as new boxed one is worth, but I'm not going to start cutting it up. so instead i dug this out and drilled the rivets out.  The cab is rubbish, but it had steels on it. Then i found some suitable exhausts  And i currently have this as a rough possibility  And i only have one car to do to match it, instead of 3. |

How are you connecting the two aluminium bodies together? Body filler? I use Araldite to join them, running it around the inside if the body, and the superfine Milliput to fill it. If youve never used milliput, its two sticks of putty, mix equal amounts together, and then use as much water as you like with it, its so versatile. It also sets underwater. Its brilliant stuff. |
