Loving these ive fancied a van for a while to convert but dint like the scene tax on vw vans but looking at these has given me other ideas. Quick question what would be better insurance wise converting a mini bus or a van. I don't want it to be a camper all I'm looking at doing is having the 2 front seats and 2 rear seats and then a dogs cage in the back and the rest of the space ile use for camping equipment.

Probably one of the best things about this site. Ask about something totally random and you get the best pictures ever, which results in the majority of us straight on to eBay to see if we can afford another car we won't be able to justify to the wife. Love it, I'm off to eBay.lol.

dint like the scene tax on vw vans but looking at these has given me other ideas These sort of vans have a scene-tax of their own. Export tax. A lot of what used to be cheap Japanese vans have been exported and you'll be paying more than you think to keep one in the UK!

Availability of custom parts was basically nil, plus the 'van' scene has never really been vastly popular in the UK. It was really the 60's and 70's that saw a lot of custom vans. Street Machine ran a couple of features back in the 80s or 90s pushing people into customising vans, and advised on lowering, what wheel availability was like etc, but it never really went anywhere. I guess I knew the answer to that before I asked tbh lol. Id just like to see a few of these: (Picture stolen shamelessly from this forum somewhere ) with a similar treatment as the others in this post. Maybe something I need to draw up on illustrator to visualise tbh... Shame my to do list is so damn long atm! This is the coolest Transit I have ever seen: Not retro, and no doubt has been on here before, but undeniably awesome.
