Astras had this effect for the turn/reverse lights for a while, if my memory serves me.
Reminds me of seeing greaseproof paper.
Amuses me because my friend's Humber Super Snipe has plain white lenses to the rear, and the brake bulb inside has a little red glass hat that clips over the top. The reverse light shares the same housing. Two-colour, frosted glass, the inside of the lamp housing painted gloss white. Retro-goodness. The inside of the glass appears to have been either sandblasted or acid-etched.
