	Here is a cheap timing light that I got www.simonbbc.com/tools/ignition-strobe-timing-light-powerspark-tl100 oh and tell me what numbers you have on the side of your distributor and I will help you with a replacement distributor too. I got the same symptoms and the diagnosis was the hall effect sensor inside

	It could be that its advancing the ignition to quickly and that's why your getting the pinking at full throttle. Gotta be worth changing to try it.

	Hmmm , not sure where to find another! Though treetopper, if you can find me another dizzy that's gotta be worth a shot!! See attached for a photo, I can't get out to see the dizzy at the moment but are these the numbers you want>? Attachments:
