I thought this would be an interesting idea. The plan is simple: If you could have any 3 cars (and only these 3 cars) in your garage and they could not exceed a maximum value of £60,000 all together what would you have? You do not need to consider tax, insurance, parts availability or the MOT, but I would suggest that all other practicalites are considered. All prices are approximate. I'll start. My 1983 Ford Fiesta: Fun, practical, and a really lovable little car. Soon to be getting an interesting engine. 1975 Saab 96 V4: very stylish, quirky, good in snow, practical, very orange. 1987 Buick GNX (respray in red) Massive brute of a car, imposing, great noise, fantastic disregard for fuel economy. My favourite car in Gran Turismo 5. There we go, that's my pick, now let's see yours.

My Mini... a W123 T-Modell... A Simca... I think that should stay well below 60,000 (btw: only one from that list missing in my actuall garage... ;D)

It's a tough challenge, you're giving us a lot of virtual cash and then asking us to spend it unwisely... but if I must... My Polo, but with all the ridiculous kustom things I want to do, a proper money-no-object build. A Riley RME ledsled with a V12 up front. Another money-no-object build. But the third car? That's a tough decision to make because there's so many cars I want to own. The two above could easily soak up £20K each with the way my imagination has a habit of running away with itself, especially since I'd get to use all kinds of exotic materials like ostrich leather interiors and platinum plated parts and zebra hide headlinings... Do you know, I think it would have to be a Tatra 603 on hydraulics with metalflake, lace, fogging... a complete 70s custom makeover. Plush velvet interior with gemstone buttons and pleats galore. I'm pretty sure I could happily soak up another £20k with some more bad taste and a mini-bar stocked with expensive and unusual beverages.

Fully restore my Dolly and fit a twin turbo 20B rotary, body work similar to that black Aussie V8 racer, but I'd like my doors to open... Engine is about £2k on it's own, I reckon £15k could get it done and fairly rapid... Just like that [/Tommy Cooper] Mazda RX7 FC Turbo 2 Convertible. Hit with stick, wheels, enjoy. One on PH in "Stunning condition" for £3.5k And for something utterly different. A '74 Dodge Monaco 440 4 door, but not a film rep. Trying to find pictures of one that isn't a Bluesmobile rep is a nightmare. There was one for sale on Ebay not long ago at £12k iirc. The other £30k I guess would be spent on re-building the rotaries every other month... Heh.

Ok for practicality, towcar and everyday driving for myself my 2 door Rangie possibly in van spec so I can carry my tools - no pics of mine unfortunately OH's shopping and kid carrier car, XE Fairmont Ghia wagon with ESP 351 V8 + auto on LPG wearing a damn big roobar and done in the Greens Tuf colour scheme - which will mean nothing to anybody in the UK but is unlikely to get lost in the supermarket car park. Greens Tuf - the colour balance isn't quite right in this piccy VH Charger R/T for weekends and going to price up jobs just because I could: I'm summing up and I think i've got plenty change from 60K which i'll have in used notes please, or failing that a draft from a Nigerian bank nobody has ever heard of ;D....
