Thanks for the kind words! You're just the guy I need to speak too lol. My mate has an SR20de in his shed and I've been having thoughts of rotary power for a while now (the fact I live 100 yards from jimmy's Rx7 specialist doesn't help). Trying to work out what to do as I still want to keep the car as a useable daily (ok rotary engine may not be too sensible an idea haha!) but still have something a little different... Decisions...

Got a million ideas in my head atm... The car really needs a new roof first though as the one on it is shocking, how there isn't a lake in the car I don't know lol. Rebel, only got the Triumph out of the original ones on this thread. Does get used pretty much everyday I just live about 8 miles north east of Norwich and don't go there too often. Any chance you'll be at modified live in a couple of weeks?

It depends a lot on how you drive it tbh.
My Vitesse is on the original diff and halfshafts (Rotoflex) and not had a problem yet, tho I do know that if I try and launch hard it'll demolish one of them, cos I can't see it spinning those tyres! That said, it did eat 3 standard gearboxs, so whatever you transplant in you WILL need to do a gearbox swap aswell. The Ford type9 fits in quite well, but not without work/expensive conversion kits. My swap is in my build thread.
My old Sprintfire had a Dolly sprint engine and TR7 LT77 gearbox with standard diff and halfshafts (swing spring) which is virtually identical to the Herald/mk1 Vitesse set ups and that never gave me a problem either, tho the car was so light it tended to just spin the wheels up.
There have been conversions done using Datsun and Subaru Diffs, but I have no details.
Basically it depends if you want to drive relatively sensibly and plant your foot down when you're already rolling, or are you going drag racing/Corsa baiting

I drive like a knob so looks like I'd have to change everything lol. Type 9 is a possibility, along with a half decent pinto in front of it, as again my mate has the parts sitting about. Also have my spare Volvo 940 turbo (complete car) sitting about doing nothing... hmm... I wish work was busier so I don't have so much time to think

Not much to update but went to a show in the Herald with some people from PHEA, was a very good show with a huge range of cars from a Carrera GT to Escorts to a Metro to a 575 SuperAmerica... Variety was brilliant. Couple of pics of our stand Thinking I could go lower? Back still needs doing but that can go down over 2.5''s yet. What you reckon? Also have a new engine and box lined up, RS2k pinto and type 4.
