Rovers have a 2.0 Rover turbodiesel (intercooled) engine. It is a direct injected unit with a Bosch pump.
Bears absolutely no resemblance to PSA 1.9 diesels.

Having been in your boat, I'd consider getting a quote from a breaker's or a dealer for it first - selling parts off Rovers can take months and months and months. You should see approx £160 for it at a weighbridge, take off the mirrors, lights, window switches, and you'll probably be able to sell them off at some point on ebay, and they won't really affect the weight for scrap!
Alternatively hold out - I've seen these go loads for circa £250 in good nick, but equally once every so often they'll sell for up to £400!
Depends how quickly you need the space/money to be honest.

get it on mg-rover.org, it will sell.
Would be tempted to offer 250 myself, but have no way of getting to you for at least the next few weeks as I am really busy with work!

Hi Aldo. A mate of mine is after a diesel Rover so have sent him a link to this ad. He works in Brum so if you get a call from someone called Chris thats him!
