TurboDieselWeasel: I love the maroon and red Lanz, it's looks and sounds like a cartoon car, excellent stuff. Soopahfly: You know, that picture had me cringing at the thought of hot metal and no protection... which means there's probably something wrong with me XD

Tractor thread is go! That looks like it should be in Eastern Europe! Great stuff that it still works though Death Race springs to mind!

That BMW Mini tractor is amazing and ridiculous! I can barely think of a worse engine to convert into a diesel tractor. As a piece of obscure history it's cool though. ;D

Hehehe - there's a Moggy Minor in australia with one of those 950 diesels. The guy had to turbo-charge it to make the Moggy able to go over hills ;D ;D MPG apparently is incredible, though I'll see if I can dig out the pics... Btw: if I should ever get my hands on one of those 950 diesels......... ;D

If we're having music, how about a proper retro tractor playing jazz?

Love tractor pulling, has to be one of these most awesome motorspots ever! I can imagine those little front wheels freshly made saying to one another... "I wander what kind of lawnmower we're going to end up on?" Now there like, wheeeeehheeeeyyyy!!!!!! (If wheels could talk)

I do a bit of work for Massey Ferguson's parent company AGCO and their old canteen at Banner Lane in Cov used to be home to this lot www.farmersguardian.com/new-home-for-historic-masseys/3781.articleThe couple I always found interesting was Ferguson TE20 ‘Sue’ from the Sir Edmund Hillary South Pole expedition... and 'the Nipper' tractor puller. This is a MF265 with 4 chargers, 2 fuel pumps mounted nose to nose and around 850bhp, not bad for a 3.8 4 cylinder Along with MF, they produce Fendt & Valtra tractors and these immense Challenger beasts

Ive always loved the mini tractor since I first saw one when I was knee high to a midget at a steam fair, one of them would be a nice addition to my collection...
Then I saw the fergie v8! My eyes came out so far they pushed my glasses off!

Hmmm - the last couple of pics made me thinking... Driving a tractor is actually the purest form of mechanical transportation. Engine, gearbox, seat, steering, four wheels - done.
Pure, simple and raw ;D
