I had a Mazda 620 2.0 Coupe like this (this isn't my one). Metallic blue above the waist, black below with a red pinstripe. Really loved it and did want to keep it, but ended up moving to Ireland and couldn't afford to tax a 2.0 over there. Sold it to my Mum, and she ran it for a year but she decided it needed too much to get it through the next MoT. Best bits? Electric rear windows that opened outwards and a 666 reg. no ;D EDIT - just remembered I had some old pics on a Yahoo group: Damn, I miss that old Mazzer. DVLA says she's not been taxed since 2003, but not that she's been scrapped, so that suggests she's still sitting unloved in a scrap yard somewhere in Cheshire

Easy question My 1979 Austin Allegro 1100 special Bought for the grand total of £200 from the auction. Loved every second of driving it.. I sadly decided to sell it though because I had put a deposit down on a mini.. However, I was crashed into on the way to RR Sheffield meet this one is a very close second (the mini the agg was replaced with)

Too many to pick just one. I keep on reflecting that I should never have sold my '76 XJ6 3.4 (couldn't afford to run it after I took early retirement) nor my P1800 (Jensen version) or 1.6LS Capri. There again I wished I'd still got the '64 Sunbeam Rapier MKIV I had when first married in 1980 (it was a 16 year old banger even back then !). E reg Volvo 240GL also has a strong postion in my memory. However if pushed I'd have to say my BMW Isetta is the most favorite car I've ever owned ;D I had to sell it to pay for my sons first birthday !

For a minute I thought you were KingMaz with that Mazda pic! A hard one for me. ATM it has to be between a 'banger' and the Porsche. The 944 for the whole package. The pace combined with its grace, in addition to it being a great car to look at (or at least for me LOL). Driving that car felt like an event. It's a damned shame that my daily of the time tried to occupy every weekend with me, which eventually forced me to sell it to make way for the backup daily of the time (the Mondy 3.0): Oddly enough the second favourite is the ratty 106 I own: I expected for this car to be a disappointment, something which would tide me over a couple of months. How wrong I could be! Ok, it has a strong whiff of AX about with, but with reasonable MPG, especially for the performance, great handling, and character in its own rattly French way I think it's a great little daily to have. Maybe the fact that it's not the best example either helps me in enjoying it a little more, or the fact that I was not expecting much from it. I have to say. The first two posts do contain some rather lovely metal in them .

Now I'm off to evil bay i need another one may be this time I'll stick a 4A-GZE engine into and try for 200bhp again god i'm going to kill my self in small J cars but what a way to go

For me, without doubt, MK1 Golf GTi 1.6. Spent a year cutting out all the rust, resprayed Porshe Guards Red, Zender spoilers, ATS cups (before they were fashionable) lowered on Konis. Excellent fun and so chuckable. A proper little hot hatch. I'd have it back in an instant if I knew were it was. Unfortunately I've lost my photos of it through the divorce

Probably my old pinto powered Sierra, it was my longest serving car too it survived two and a half year of abuse, drifting, burnouts and a fair few crashes as well. It upset some Ford bummers and was a part of me (sorry sounds a bit lame!) I'm sad I killed it, through a combination of apathy and contacto with the curb. Gold or green though...... Did love it in the gold :S

Only car I have owned for a considerably amount of time and driven a lot is my Rover 214, but that isn't my favourite. In fact it's a complete crock but in some way I love it because despite the fact the brakes are curse word, it handles like a boat and the car sounds like its on 5 packs a day, its been completely dependable. I learnt to drive in it, and as such I it has been driven a lot by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. After a lot of clutch slipping my clutch is almost non existant by now. The head gasket has blown for the second time, but the car continues to work. I hardly treat it well either. That thing gets ragged everywhere, and I've hardly spent a penny on it fixing it other than what is needed for MOTs. The fact it is going this month makes me wish I knew how to chop springs and strip the paint off it. Here is a photo of it back when it was all fresh and nice when I first had it: I think my favourite car must be the Golf though. It has opened me to this entire scene. Without it I wouldn't be on here, or Edition 38 or any of the other car forums I joined up while I owned that car. The one thing I regret though is not using that to learn to drive in. It's a mistake I have learnt though and won't be doing again. However I think my new favourite will be the Colt. I am already chuffed to bits with it. So happy I finally own an old Japanese car that isn't broken and its one you don't really see on the roads any more. I love it and honestly hope I keep it for many years.

For Me there are two favourites that i miss equally. This: Which was sadly stolen and burned out along with a lot of tools and and the rather expensive CD player and speakers which the morons were too thick to even take. I loved this truck, it was almost immaclate and i'd jsut lined up all the bits for a 2.9 conversion. Secondly, This: Bought in the UK and made for a rather interesting trip back to Ireland including losing the lights at 10pm in rural wales... This was a great truck too but i neevr got around to doing much with it apart from hauling various curse word around. I've had nicer, "cooler" cars but these two p100s are the ones i miss the most and were the vehicles i most enjoyed owning for some reason
