Well I've been let down on the guy welding my oil pump, so I thought I'd dig the old girl out and get her back on the road, it did 150 miles since the last time it was restored and mot'd, still had 9 months tax on it when I decided I wasnt happy with it. to see its previous history have a deco at this build diary www.thetattoostudio.co.uk/mycoupe/green/So today I put the Escort to one side and surveyed the situation Didn't take long to uncover her, and shes pretty much as I remember her from when I stopped last time Bmw e36 compact sunroof going in here, what I might do is weld the granny panel to the bmw panel, that way I can still fit a vinyl, and the granny seal will still work. Yet another screen needed, this will be its forth, first had delaminated, second was on the roof when the roof of the garage collapsed, this one through bad storage and a cat jumped on it, so hopefully forth time lucky started making me up some powered by ford rocker covers, need to make it again to make a better base plate Granada Coupe camper anyone? Plan it to finnish any body filler, and get it in primer toot sweet, then I just have to source or make some door cards, as I helped someone out and sold them my interior, but I have a black dash, carpet, center consul, Scorpio ultima front leathers, Granada Scorpio back seet need sourced, and I also need to hunt out a black steering wheel. As with all my efforts, I'll keep the pictures coming.

Well, got the engine out, luckily it looks like just 2 core plugs have popped, the 3 behind the flywheel are all good, as are the 2 at the front/sides of the block. Just need to grab me a couple of these tomorrow, a set of exhaust gaskets, then I can throw it back in, as the under bonnet still looks fairly fresh from the last resto seeing as the box worked perfectly adequitly as well, I think I'll finnish off my bell houseing adapter well, possibly more updates tomorrow

Well no to much to say today, had to order gaskets and core plugs of egay cause no one round here stock them. The good thing about a rover V8 is they are plentifull, you can pick one up any day of the week from £50 to £10,000, but the bad thing is they just scream ""ROVER"". I've never been to wholely impressed with RV8 dressup kits, so I've decided to make my own. Nice and retro. Next is to get a bolt off throttle body of something and modify the plenum so my granada air filter fits, or see if i can find a cheap carb manifold.

Hi mate, Keep on Plugging away, it will be well worth it in the end. The Granny Coupe is in my all time Top 3 Motors, and I have been lucky enough to have owned 3 of them in the past !!. Just a thought, but I still have this for sale ; - cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280694521679&ssPageName=STRK:MEUSX:ITIts also in the For Sale Ad`s on R/Rides. This would look the Biz on your Motor, all depending of course what Rover V8 lump you have there !!.

no good to me, as its for petrol....I'm in the process of making a plenum cover at the mo out of a vectra throttle body, and an essex air box.....should look a little more classic than the, ""I'M A ROVER"", screaming at you

Well took me the best part of a weeks worth of evenings, but I finaly got the bonnet smooth. I've never really been happy with the flanks, as the panels bowed in at the ends, so there is a dip between the quarter and the door, and again at the front of the door to the wing....so with gritted teeth I decided to address the situation straight edge across the situation Because the door dipped in at the edge, I hammered the edge out, so that the straight edge toched the panel either end, and the door edge toched in the middle. so now the quarter was too far back from where the panel dipped in, so I cut along the edge to allow it to come out to meet the door. bringing the panel into line
