Lexus V8 is a bigggg engine though......Phil found it to be a 630mm cube basically... Wouldn't fit in mine without hacking it about a bit much, Ford 302 fits in beautifully though

the granny was running an all alloy 6.2ltr ls1 engine with a vortech supercharger acording to what heard from the comentary box while sitting at the start line for an hour and 20 mins

an LS1 5.7ltr crate engine comes in at $4910 plus shipping&taxes from summit 8-)plus around 3k for the blower setup so i would say that thing has an easy 20k in it

20k. Ouch! Got the need for speed! Its easy to see it and think it would be easy and cheap to knock one up, not at that spec.

20k. Ouch! Got the need for speed! Its easy to see it and think it would be easy and cheap to knock one up, not at that spec. its very easy to spend money building an engine theres around 22k in the engine box and axle in the van and thats not even on the road yet

Thats something I believe. Maybe i'll stick to a 2-8 if i ever get one then! A mk1 2dr with LS1 is still a bit of a dream of mine.

I was in love with that car. Totally stock looking and sounding until the go pedal connected with carpet. It even had leather heated seats!! I thought its fastest time of the day was high 9secs. Sadly he blew it up, though... Nearly car of the show for me. Nearly...

On the strip... was going well and then a plume of smoke out of the right hand exhaust pipe and a 14 sec time.... expensive.

SpottedLaurel, Jez and I were watching the run where it happaned,.. was a white/blue flash under the bonnet,.. Looked to be electrical,.. but could have been just about anything,.. we need this guy on here!
