Got me off hear about 18 months ago two 12a engines and gearboxes, looms, prop-shafts and loads of other gubbins.... Alas my original plans to use one in my viva as always stalled whilst I got on with other things. Collection only £150 for both engines gearboxes looms, starters alternators filters props etc and everything else I can find that goes with the lot ;D Today I dragged one out of storage stripped it down to check it over and as far as I can see its fine. Turns over nice and hisses as its should. Have no doubt the other is the same. It weights a lot as a load, so bring a transit van... best to email me paul.bottomley@annteak.com... Nuneaton based....

I'm so incredibly tempted... (Tempted enough to have asked my uncle to borrow his van to go and collect them.) Any history of the engines? Rough mileages? Are they early RX7 ones or something else? Same as Kee really, no car ready to receive them yet, but god it's tempting... Always wanted a Rotary.

I don't have any history on either other than they were removed as running from two RX7's about 4 years ago, they were still full of oil and water when i got them, and indeed some oil still in the bottom of each.... the one i have on the bench turns over so smooth and silky be tempted and please come soon... Fee cup of tea on offer as well....

Are the carbs part of the other gubbins? Willing to split just one engine and box etc.? Unless anyone else down south wants to go halves on it...
It's a case of really really want to, but really really shouldn't... Want to is currently winning.

In a word yes carbs, alternators starters looms, sexy air filters with MAZDA ROTARY on the top, that sort of thing come along have a look and lets see what we can pack into the car !!!! I managed to get both engines both gearboxes prop-shafts exhaust manifold looms the lot in the back of my escort (mind you not driven right since!!) the word you should use is NEED not WANT BTW

If I had seen this any other month I'd of snapped your hand off but I've got two cars to mot and tax this month so funds are tight Did you get any further than buying the engines or did you mock up or measure to see how they would fit in your viva? I've got a Chevette so I don't think there would be much difference in fitting them to the two cars. Apart from obvious custom parts that would be needed is every thing here to get the engine running? If so is it two full set up's?

Are these still knocking about Paul? How difficult is the conversion to a Viva/How well do they line up and balance with regards to engine/box mounts and how much would I need to chop out with regards to trans tunnel/stick position?
Also, I'll be selling my van at some point if you're intrested? (you might not though - it's a 2 litre pinto transit).
Also, where are you? Cheers, Dave.
