The board is in one of those 'ask questions, value stuff for me, tell me about, it's not retro, my musical taste is great, what not-very-interesting car should I buy' phases at the moment. I'm fighting back with some pictures of cars that seem quite cool to me. It's what RR is about. You don't need to drive under a truck to make your MX5 cool. No gimmicks required. Oooofff. I'm not ageist - If it looks good, I dig it. Shiny Chevelle. Fits the description in the title of this thread perfectly. Wouldn't change a thing.

Mat, as splendid as that lil' Toyota is...I was hoping that the cars contained in this thread would be linked by the low 'n' clean theme. The clean bit meant shiny...I should have been more specific shouldn't I?
You know you'll need to find something un-matt to make up for your error now don't you? ;D

All this low stuff is all well and good, but it's completely impractical. I don't know where you all live, but you should come to Fenland with those cars. I'll follow collecting your chassis parts! You can't drive a car like that on today's roads. Are we promoting cars that can't be driven? That's like promoting classic Concours entrants that get put in a velvet bag and trailered to some big event. Pointless. Like boats that are "restored"to sit in a dry museum or aircraft that don't fly. They ain't cars unless they're driven.
How do you manage it? Titanium scrape plates?

"Spend" a little more, have a quick web search and find some more. Its what RR is about.

Driving low cars is easy, you just get to know where you can drive and where you can't. Pretty much the only obstacle with most slammed cars is rutted farm roads. Retro-Rides is more weighted towards looks rather than performance, though there are a number of member cars that manage both. I'm not saying you're unwelcome, but you might be more suited to the Practical Performance Car forum as thats geared towards making cars fast.
