Up for sale is my sister’s 1998 Skoda Felicia 1.3
THE GOOD
MOT (with no advisories) and Tax until August 2011
63,300 on the clock – this won’t be changing as the car has now been replaced. Well under average for year and age.
Service history up to the point I started servicing her – had oil, air filter and plugs not long ago
Has also had recon alternator, battery and salvage gearbox fitted in the last 18 months
Also a low-temp radiator fan switch fitted at the same time, and new engine temp sender (common fault on these – the older versions don’t let the fan kick in to about 110C, this cuts in at 87 IIRC)
Really good runner, has never let my sister down at all – if I had my way she’d be keeping it and properly running it into the ground!
4 good tyres
Optional headlamp covers!
Excellent interior (always been covered with garish pink things, thankfully now gone)
Perky little 1.3 engine – clean, tidy and straight with no hidden secrets!
THE NOT SO GOOD
The car spent most of her early years in Clacton on the seaside, and the bodywork has suffered from the sea air – surface rust on most of the arches (I crudely sanded it back and treated it as best I could last Summer, but has started coming through again). It hasn’t gone through anywhere and is only superficial
One or two car park dents as shown – a run in from a surprisingly firm hedge at one point!
I’ll let pics do the rest…
Overall an honest, straight, cheap to run and insure little smoker with plenty of years left in her!
