Sorry to crash in on your thread but the have a set of wolfrace,s similar to the turbovecs and this is how they look using a 185/60R14 tyre ,it keeps the gearing near standard so any RWD Skoda owners grab these while you can!!!  |

I'm thinking for my rascal, have you tried them on yours for fit? Just for you, I went and did some wheel swapping/photoshopping to show what the MA61 rims look like on the Rascal. Before you get too excited, the sliding door doesn't clear the rear wheels so you'd either need to fabricate a hinge extension (longer hinge then relocate the mount on the door further in) OR get the rear face of the MA61 rims machined off about 6mm which should clear. You'd want to do all four if you were doing this because the fronts would look odd sticking out much further than the rears - they already stick out a bit more anyway, so you wouldn't want to exaggerate this. Here is what it looks like on the MA61 rims:   They do look good but would take some work to get them to fit. The other option is the Lotus rims. I used Hotwire's ones to get the tyres for the photoshop. Lotus rims are the same width as the MA61's (7") but have a shallower offset so clear the sliding door perfectly without any modification.   I personally reckon they would suit the van more if they weren't all black in the centre, but polished instead to really show off the turbines..... Food for thought. Oh...and here are the MA61 rims without centre caps - just as Brawr demonstrated on the first page   |

bruce - not that I should be asking like, but those slots (the 14" 114.3 ones) - have they got enough meat in the centres to have another 4 stud drilled between the existing holes??

The news you probably shouldn't be hearing is that the mounting face is solid, so plenty of meat to drill out a new PCD ;D Do you want me to get sum photoz 4U? CB is 78mm but Alan could probably knock up some 'infill' rings very cheap if 78mm is too big and Ross could get them fitted 'by the power of Tig' [edit for my orfull spellinz] |

Hi there, After trial fitting them to my Rascal yesterday I am seriously thinking of keeping them as a 2nd set for the van. I'm heading down to the unit tomorrow, so I'll try them on again and decide one way or another then let you know. Obviously if I decide not to keep them then you have first refusal. Just to update further, the Skoda/Beetle alloys should be collected tomorrow and the set of four Lotus Turbine rims were sold earlier today. |

bruce!!! I know from my last visit (which i was treated to some hardcore gas fuelled tyre streeeetching) You and the lads down at area 52 love a bit of tyre streeeech, so before i put them up here, ive got a set of steel fabricated 10x15 and 8x15 5x120 stud pattern fitting a bmw. If your intrested, let me know and il send you some pics.

Haha beach was good caught the tailened of a free entry classic show which is on again tomorrow. Meadowhall is on the cards tomorrow....she should know me after years of my carobssessing!

I've decided to keep the MA61 rims. The set of four Lotus Turbines are sold and so are the Skoda 'Vec style wheels.
