Cheers Paul, I still love it! Atm FOO is having a heart transplant/replacement master cylinder/recon steering rack/under bonnet tidyup etc, with the considerable assistance of Mr Hall. I've got his old motor as mine was shot, just got it started tonight! Just needs the brakes completely bleeding, front and center exhaust pipes changing and some niggles sorting, then MOT and rent. Been off the road since July for various reasons.....
How is the Cossie going?

I had this car after the film with the patch on the tail gate I got it of a trader in Exeter for 290 quid He told me it was in the film I then sold it to a banger driver it died No way! I assumed 'A77 UVL' got trashed during filming. Shame it survived the experience and then ended up round the oval shortly after anyway  every one knew it had been in the film when I was selling but no one valued it The guy I sold it to said he was gonna race it he never did but some one did I've been looking for one myself for 6 months for the road can't find one |

Got the car from 105 bhp at the crank to 152 at the wheels.nitrous going on next.....if it ain't broke,keep bolting on go faster parts until it is........ www.fordgranadaclubuk.freefo.de |

Cheers Alex but looking at yours frightens the life out of me! That goes way beyond my capabilities! Well, I just went a little nuts on the poor thing... I could have had a good looking car with half the work done that I did. But it's in the blood. I'm sorry to say I'm a defective perfectionist as in, it has to be to the best of my abilities, but somtimes very good is sufficiently perfect. I'm sure there are plenty of nice ones out there that do not need the treatment I gave mine. Go find one! |

Here's my mk2.  1985 2.8 GhiaX auto. Weathered to an authentic 90's council estate condition! I saved it from the oval a few years ago, spotted it while I was out and about at work. It was being used until the tax and test ran out then it was going to be raced. It took a fair bit of welding to make it solid again. It's covered almost 200k miles aswell. It still looks rough but it's a great car. I still can't decide wether to fully restore/respray it or leave it as it is, which I actually quite like! |

Love a good Mk2 Granada...
My old chap had a 2.3L... Alm 693y metallic champagne
Sold it in the late 90's with auto box fault for less than £100... Had 90k on it, was a great family car...
Replaced it with a G reg Carlton...

I wish I'd kept my Mk1 Ghia and I wish I could have persuaded my old man to have kept some of the Mk2's that he had throughout the 1980's... Not so easy as a pre-teen though and he did progress to W126 Merc's so it wasn't all bad...!
Oh for a Mk2 Granada GLSi...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep I shoulda kept the gold one smokem has shown the pics of, I bought it cos it was very low mileage and near mint ,, and them wheels cost a fortune!! Wish I'd kept the car
