I've seen dotheton yes, but not joined as of yet, though cheers for the heads up!
Small update for you, the whole structure is now screwed together, and the plate brackets have been made and attached. Just filled it with expanding builders foam and its already looking huge, so once thats dry i'll slice it with a knife and start the final filling.

One thing I remember from that show, Is they used to mold the seat hump from the rear of the fuel tank. So it looks the same. I.e take the tank off, Cover it in wax and make a fibreglass cap over it, Peel it off, Cut to size and put it on the tail... (ish) But it seems youve got it all under control anyway... Think itll look great btw, I miss my old Gp. And imho i wouldnt put a 125 lump in it. Ive had both and the 100 was strangely a quicker bike... And my mates gs125 (2 stroker) was slower than it too ...

As for making the hump i know what you mean, some people actually just buy a second tank and cut the back off, can work well, but i decided to do it this way.
And yeah, I'm not gunna fit the 125 engine, doesnt seem much point when people have had these things at 70 - 80 mph.
Cheers for the approval!

Just to add, expanding foam is evil stuff.
Just trimmed it a bit and it didnt bother setting in the middle, so I'm leaving that overnight and i'll have another go at it tomorrow.

Righty, Few pictures for you. Here it is all screwed together with plate brackets. And heres the foam, i left it to dry and trimmed it, but theres a big dip in it so i added more foam and i'll give it a final trim later. Then comes filler etc. More to come soon!

Yet another update, i seem to be doing well today. I've now relocated the indicators ready for when that small part of the rear frame comes off: Also test fitted the seat, which was partially still drying at the time, hence the slightly bumpy shape. Then i did the final shaping of the seat. Now, its filler time!

Right, I'm now done for the day, annoyingly. For some reason, a whole tub of filler wasnt enough. So i need more filler before i can carry on!

Looking good!! Always liked the cafe racer look, form following function and that...
Quick word of warning before you chop the frame - the rear loop provides quite a bit of stiffness between the rear shock mounts. If you cut it off, the frame will get a bit wobbly... If you know someone handy with a welder, some people shorten the rear loop, i.e. cut it off, remove some length and re-attach the rear bit. Otherwise it's worth welding a bit of box section in between the rear shock mounts to help tie it all together.
Might be worth keeping your eyes open for some mini indicators too?
Make's me wanna get back in the garage, enjoy!!

Hey man! Yeah i had that thought in mind, we've got scraps of metal (tubing and such) lying around, so i was gunna ask my dad to weld a bit in there for me. Though i appreciate the heads up, wouldnt want it going all wobbly on me . As for indicators, i don't think the originals look too bad in their current position, I'm actually looking for a smaller brake light, but they seem to be loads of money! Anyway, cheers for the comment, now get back in the garage .

Yeah i know what you mean completely, i don't know why there isnt a market for retro helmets with no vents, or horrid graphics. I'm probably gunna have to modify one myself.

Yeah its not bad at all, few tweaks that need doing and it should be perfect. Once its running nicely it should be good, and my friends can stop laughing at me when it breaks down. Have a rather gay looking photo of me, ironically trying to get it to start.
