My dad used to have a P10 saloon. says was the best car he ever owned, in the family all its life but got wrote off few years back. was the 6th one ever made according to the serial number. never failed an MOT and only serviced once a year, literaly never had a single part changed in its 14years. wouldnt mind one with the "20v" sr20 neo vvl engine....200+ horses =)

Stumbled across this old thread for the 'unloved' Primera. Great pics of the BTCC cars, and quite a few photos of friends cars from the owners club too. I spent 8 years making Primera front seats mostly, plus a few Almera and Micra ones. My first Primera was a bog standard year 2000 W plate 1.6. Quite uninspiring. My second one was this 1999 T plate P11 GT.... Third Primera was this 2000 W plate P11-144 SE+, modified with genuine JDM parts (rear boot spoiler, wind deflectors, Nismo back box and clear rear clusters)... lovely plasma dials too... This is my current Nordic Blue P11 GT LE. One of only 400 GT LE's made in 1999 to celebrate the winning of the 1998 BTCC, and one of only 100 saloons (300 were hatchbacks). This is my RR thread for this one... retrorides.proboards.com/thread/174894/1999-nissan-primera-gt

I like these, did a lot of miles in them when they were new cars and i worked for Vardy Nissan in Leeds. The GT's went pretty well and looked good.I suppose they lacked a bit of character, but a capable car. I remember knocking around a few times in a couple of special edition GT's ,one in flip green paint and one in metallic pink! The flip green paint i recall cost about £70 a litre from Nissan so you didn't want to scratch it.The pink one was a bit bright for me and felt a bit conspicuous in less salubrious parts of Leeds!
The salesmen all got nice white Primera racing BTCC jackets when they won the championship.I just dealt with all px's going to the block and did a few pdi's but i managed to cadge a jacket !

At least half of the flip paint which got to Sunderland made it back out the paint shop in various people's Thermos's instead of on customer cars...

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Yeah thats it ! I've never seen another in pink before or since and it was back in 98 when i was using it,nice to see one again. Looked good but it felt conspicuous.I remember being sat at a set of lights in Leeds next to a bus and at least 70% of the passengers were looking at it !

I know that feeling all too well. Especially when I'm in cities, I get all kind of looks with it being pink, but I love it!
I need to get some more upto date pics really, as I've changed the headlights and other bits.
Only one of 3 that's I'm aware of left in pink. 1 SE, 1 GT loon, and my GT hatch.
Such great cats though for what they are, bought mine for £520 with 65k on and one owner. Can't think of many other 150bhp cars that you can pick up for that price. Shame there not to everyone's cup of tea though. I personally can't get enough of them

That would explain why i haven't seen another then ! I wonder how many left the factory in pink,we only ever had the one and it stuck around for ages before it sold. I ended up using it most days for several months for all sorts of errands out to the auctions and sometimes as a chase car when we delivered or picked up a car somewhere to bring the second driver back to base.
I had one of my most epic drives in that pink one.We had an SLX to deliver to Carbis Bay near St Ives and did it there and back in a day from Leeds with me in the pink GT following and bringing the second driver back.Just over a thousand miles in 17 hours and had time to buy a tub of clotted cream and have a walk on the beach ! I think they had given up on the idea of selling it by then as i really racked some miles on it. Happy days !
I got really fond of them, nothing to dislike about them at all.I've never actually owned one but i bet i've done more miles in them than most owners!

Haha now that sounds like a fantastic trip! Sounds like you enjoyed it for the time you had it.
Don't think too many would of left the factory in pink if I'm honest, and probably why you didnt see many around back then, let alone now. Got lucky finding this one at the right time, I'm sure there are a few others out there somewhere tucked away with an elderly owner somewhere like mine was. Well let's hope there are anyway!

I had a s reg metallic green diesel one. I purchased it about 5 years ago and travelled from west London to Bournemouth 6 days a week for 2 and a half years so roughly just under 200 miles a day. Never let me down throughout all the weather. Superb reliable cars

I've done 12k in this one in the last 6 months, done bath to Sunderland twice never missing a beat on the 1k round trip! Such a great place to be at the wheel also, but I guess I'm kind of biased anyway!!
I'll get some current pictures up later, as I think just adding the new JDM headlights totally transforms the front end, makes it look a little more modern

Would love a Primera GT. Just had a quick look online, amazed how few there are on sale, of any model never mind the GT. Shame.
