I grinned all the way through those photos! I couldn't make it due to lack of funds but this is one meet I really have to get myself to. Great work organising it, Bri. And well done to the well-behaved majority for making it a great turnout.

What an absolutely BRILLIANT day!
Brian, thanks for arranging it - it's one of my 'must go' events of the year and luckily enough it's held in March and October ;D ;D
Convoy down was fun, especially when we hooked up with KFW in Morrisons car park and the traveller Boso exhaust mods started.
It was great to meet everyone at the beach, good friends and some new faces too. Big thanks to Tim for the use of the Car-B-Q to cook the burgers and thanks also to everyone for making it such a fun day.
When we got back to Area 52, Kev's car found its way onto the lift and Rich wasted no time in chopping off various parts of the exhaust then adding some replacement piping along with the Boso tailpipes. GREAT sounds!
This was then followed by the addition of a faux oil cooler, some airhorns, some insulating tape and some stickers to give the car some KFW trademark mods. He'd only bough the car 10hrs earlier and already was looking nothing like it did when he arrived from picking it up.
I'm looking forward to the summer more than any other time and being on the beach really made it feel like a great kick-start to the coming months.
Thanks again everyone for making it a special day.

Awesome day out, and a MASSIVE mojo boost having a ganders round warnzee's shuvit. I have a plan set in motion already definitely brought back the love for my own! Cheers to everyone involved in the planning and to everyone who attended! PS: @ Ditch. Did you make it home ok!? I drove past you when you were stopped just outside Easter Compton near the Cribbs Causeway junction, I popped back after getting some food but you'd gone. Hope everything was ok?

It was only an 80 mile trip for me but the furthest the cars gone for over a year. Good to see some usual faces and some rather tidy stuff. 15mph was a bit on the fast side for me but i do like my car and filling/blasting the arches with sand dosen't seem the clever thing to do.

Whoa, Kevs new bird is hot ;D cheers!! ;D well, it's monday morning, and I've just got back - knackered just about covers it I reckon! SUPERB day out @ brean - my trip started at 9-ish saturday night, getting the train to chester, then hanging around chester bus station to get the 12.30am national express to reading got picked up by ed (10mpg) at 9am-ish in his rather rapid, slightly leaky TVR - the blast to ed's gaff certainly woke me up superb bacon muffin's and tea later (thanks mrs ed), the bluey's got some wind in the tyres, then I'm gassing it up and trying to catch up to the a-52 convoy - some decidedly illegal speeds might have been reached on the M4/M5 - makes a change from chugging along in the truck as MM said above, met in morrisons, ghetto fitted my boso pipes , and drove to the beach - then it was time for a good gas, a few burgers, and quite a bit of forgetting to have a look at certain cars - typcal! - although, tbh that was caused by fitting my old slots very kindly brought down by grunty - cheers so much for that man then it was time to get back to wales - but first an offer to refit the boso pipe led to a full on exhaust welding sesh, along with various other boso bits from the a-52 supply cupboard - then me and rich went off to the local-ish bristol sunday night meet - and we may have possibly done a little bit of boso style noise pollution along the way thanks to EVERYONE involved - great start to 2011 (who said buying more toot!) - oh and especially cheers to spiny and lawsy, who seem to have both captured me looking super gimpy playing speaker cover frisbee!! - kfw oh, and before anybody else suggets anything different, the bluey is going to have to be known as the vosa-zoku - it's only a matter of time...

I'll just leave this here then... Looks damn fine of the slots kev, good call! Actually the TVR's now decided to stop leaking clutch fluid on my feet, still gonna rebuild the master cylinder though, at £8 delivered for the parts seem daft not to (the joys of 'parts bin' cars).. Glad the vosa-zoku's gone to a good home, much better to see it being enjoyed than being cubed and made into shiny new washing machines.. Need some pics of how it is now!

What a brilliant day! Got some pics, nowt special will try and get em up when i can. Thanks Brian for kinda putting it together and letting me follow ya down again. Thanks Grunty for the heat sheild, cant wait to get that on next week! Thank you everyone who took some books i saved, rather see them go to some use than in the skip. RR, the only place in the world where a haynes manual for a rare car.... can go home in the car that it's ment for! ;D and thanks everyone that came making it mint! Sadly those thanks don't extend to those who were looning around. Having a RWD car my self, I'm one of the first people up for a bit of skiddy skiddy on a lose surface. But there is a time and a place, public beach is neither

Gutted! THis was the closest meet to me and was determined to go, the Alfa decided to let go on a coroded fuel pipe put I spent Sat afternoon fixing it so I could be there! THen the trouble and strife reminded me I had agree to look after our 2yr old so she could go out! Was going to bring the little tike down but had to think of her saftey in a long drive in a old alfa, and did not want to come down in something non retro! So now I'm booked in a yr in advance! Prop a good thing tho Id have needed a change of grundies after clapping eyes on the "Grale"!!

Got to say it was a really good day. I'm glad I managed to get the time off work for once ;D. It was nice to see everyone again, and great to see some more interesting cars, as well as have a nice day on the beach relaxing. It made a nice change from my current stressed days and 2am nights doing uni work/worrying about what's happening with the sort-of-maybe-hopefully-soon-to-be-perhaps-SWMBO So yeah, cheers guys for a good day. Oh, and I shall be having a word with Alan (the owner of the nice looking but badly behaved red 'rocco) next time I see him at college. Like others have said, I'm all for having a bit of slidy fun, but there's a time and a place, and surrounded by dogs and small kids on a loose/unpredictable surface isn't it.

Darn it, I got down here a day late! Would've loved to have got down to this, especially as it's really grown in numbers. Alas, I was busy moving into our temporary home in Brian's hood and vacating our former home in Ditch's hood. There's no doubt I'll be (finally) well and truly settled in Taunton by the next one so expect me to be there. In the meantime I'll console myself with the occasional views of many of the cars in the photos - saw Ben's Passat within a week of getting down here, seen Teenage Dirtbag twice (including going out of my way in Hankridge car park!) and see that low Golf most days. It's great down here . . .
