N reg Volvo 850 estate automatic in smart dark metallic blue.  Good bodywork. Runs and drives ok but auto trans makes nasty noise when in reverse. £250 which is no more than scrap value so you can't lose even if it conks out on you. Comfy cloth heated seats. Decent sounds. AC etc PM me by monday evening if interested or its off with its cat , bat and petrol and off to the weighbridge. |

mot ran out yesterday
tax sent back by people i bought it off.
bit of an engine oil leak by look of it, near the top because bulkhead is quite oily
non turbo
216,000 miles
can't see anything obvious it would fail an MOT on.

I've found out what the noise is...
NOT THE GEARBOX! Its the starter motor engaging when put into reverse, which must mean a short between inhibit circuit and starter circuit !
Decided to still see if anyone wants car , although now an easier fix. But I am very tempted to fix this myself now!

Update, no response here so spent a few hours investigating the electrical fault.. found it (eventually) two wires chafed together inside plastic harness conduit. Withdrawn from sale as I will probably put this through MOT and use as my daily now.
