*spaff* Built as a publicity car for the amazing looking Need for Speed 2:Unleashed. As far as I can tell it was designed as a car for the game and then commissioned to a company to build it for publicity.... I have no more words.....

I've seen some under-construction photos of that. I need to see more pics of the finished article really.

It is indeed an awesome car. Had this as my desktop piccy for a while: The idea of a '69 Mustang for drifting sounds Frighteningly terrible. Also I usually hate mixing old and new (ie the 'poo touring' look) BUT something about this thing is just perfect, the wheels, the subtle roof chop, the colours, the trumpets... everything. Another bonus is that AFAIK its a scratchbuilt car - ie no 69 was butchered, just a reproduction shell modelled after the vintage mustang mounted on a modern chassis. Still a shame that it will be raped on the drift circuit though!

Been watching the build on Speedhunters and although I do think it's very cool I really dislike the livery he went with. The dayglo green just cheapens it for me and I'd have much preferred it in the more subtle option they had at the time. That said, it's still an immense car. Wouldn't want to be there when he hits the sheetmetal rearend off some wall while drifting though - with the fabrication that went into it, it's not exactly a bolt-on piece
