They're actually hub caps so I'm thinking of banding the og wheels & refitting the hubcaps. The fairmont superseded the ltd apparently. I'd love pics of the car near you. That would be great.

I wasn't going to do this yet but I'm bursting so it has to be done. This has been on marketplace for months & I've had a secret yearning for a yank car for ages. I promised myself one before I turned 50 & that happened last year! It was imported by a guy on an army base in the UK but never used on UK roads. All the import paperwork is done & the car is v5 registed with a genuine 37000 miles on the clock. The car has always either been in a lock up or under a cover. I have very little info on the model except it's basically a foxbody mustang chassis & running gear. It has a 3.8 litre v6 engine, plastered in smog control junk. It has fuel injection & looks really over complicated. Factory air con too. Unfortunately it has a fuelling issue to do with the injection system where the car did run but spluttered & farted, now it turns over but won't start. The interior is really clean with no damage except some faded plastic trim in the footwells. Column change & bench seat is amazing. The boot is full of all the spares needed to recommission the car including shocks, brake lines, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, new badges & even new headlights. Currently on 15" peugeot wheels but the original 14's are with the car so may get either set banded. There is no rust on the car except surface on the underside & a ding in the passenger rear door. The lower trims have been removed & the holes plugged so I plan on colour matching the lower part of the car. I plan on using scotch bride & linseed oil the paint & leave it exactly as it is. If anyway has anymore info for parts suppliers, Facebook groups or local Bristol car clubs I'd really appreciate any help. As said above I'm totally new to American motors.

That's got to be a recent restoration, there's no way one of those has survived looking that clean. Looks superb. Ye I did notice faint over spray on the front windscreen rubbers. However the chassis looked immaculate & unwelded.

My clarke weld 135te turbo is for sale. This is a few years old but practically brand new & very rarely used. A very capable, easy to carry & store. Has a spare gas cannister, a new regulator, a selection of tips & a recent core of wire, I think 0.8mm but I can check. Works perfectly, you can test it on purchase if required. Also have a brand new auto darkening welding mask you can have on purchase. Collection from Bristol only. £180 ono.

I'm about to tackle the chassis on my hijet. I've already made a start using knot wheels & wire wheels on an angle grinder. I have red oxide primer to slather on but I wondered if I need to use a rust cure like fertan if the metal is clean? Once I get going with the knot wheel the chassis has no rust on it but do I apply the rust cure anyway or just straight on with the red oxide?

This is on fb, I'm definitely going to blame Grizz for the massive want of an American day van that I currently have..

Spotted this "hippy" bus today on a farm in the west country. Coolest thing I've seen in ages.
