Thank you for all your support with the wheels, its a difficult choice So update time and we present exhaust P0rn ! So the system is made of up of some long tube headers i bought for my 2016 mustang, long story short.. with this system on it was noisy... not just noisy but seriously obnoxiously noisy. the system had stupid flanges on it so could not be mated to the resonated H pipe I already had on the car so in a fit of rage i took them off and donated them to hell raiser. It was a shame as with the 2019 intake, cold air kit, that exhaust system the car was knocking on 515bhp on the dyno... so what was my mustang loss is hell raisers gain. The plan here, on hell raiser that is, is to have long tubed headers with sports cats, X pipe and them coming together with dual outlet below the number plate currently market by a sharpie circles. obviously the rear bumper will be cut and may be it will be carbon fibre if the overtime bucks up. This should all come together with a lovely diffuser to help with under car airflow... may be need an underfloor too.....

we had a suggestion of nascar steelies as well - that could be interesting as a spare set for slicks at track days

, lets harness the power of the Retro Rides massive and help us make a wheel decision. We have a narrowed it down to a couple of options but we cannot agree, so give us your views or alternative suggestions. Below are some options [a href="

A couple of weeks ago was a big day..... hellraiser was cut free of the building jig brought down from her lofty position and brought out into the sunshine for the first time in well .... a long time ..... so video below - if it works So lets take a step back and look what has been achieved 1. Coyote engine installed 2. Trans installed 3. complete front suspension designed and installed 4. Ford 2016 s550 independent rear suspension installed and then redesigned and remade and reinstalled 5. Trans tunnel, floor pan, wheel wheels Fabbed and installed 6. Push rod rear suspension fabbed and installed 7. Wheel arches, front splitter and rear panel Fabbed and installed 8. Headliner, roll cage and steering rack installed. Still a lot left to do but feels like on home stretch 1. Wheels - decisions decision 2. Wiring - going to go custom ECU and fit 3. Exterior - still some work to do on scoops and diffusers and then of course paint 4. interior 5. Glass

Sorry we have not updated much recently. Lots going on and so been a bit lazy apart from update our socials as it just easier. A few big updates coming this week, including it being rolled out into the sunshine and on it's wheels for the first time ever ! So first update, the rear suspension is now complete apart from fitting the shocks and we have also finished fabbing the cage. [ Will be posting the roll out shots and hopefully video at some point how do you post you tube links here is it allowed ?

For the rear we are probably going to piggy back as the front need remotes due to the location.
To be fair to nitron, we looked at a lot of makes like KW, Ohlins ( briefly and made a sharp exit) etc etc. For the quality of the what they make and the amount of tailoring you can do with them, they are really good value for money. The Nitrons are half the price of the KWs i have in another mustang and i would argue much better quality. Having a UK manufacturer also takes out a major pain in the bum you have with shipping and turn around times. so sorry for the advert but i have been properly impressed with them so far.

I thought I would go all "not the nine o'clock news for this post" - so if you are pondering what makes you go boing boing boing until you get a pain in the groin..... behold the rear end update, with lots of clever spring things going on. So pleased with how this has come together - the whole unit tying into the roll cage and sub frame both structurally and visually. Mark has excelled himself with the design. Look at those rockers! Still to weld the extra bits of cage and spec the final shocks… for the technically minded - push rods are all rose jointed and tie into the mustang s550 IRS and directly to the new lighter much sexier tubular rear arms we fabricated and then rise up to the lever arms which will be held in place by a closed faced bearing to minimise friction and then on to a set of nitron shocks. The observant amongst you will note that these are indeed our Nitron front shocks, but Badhand will be on to the nice chaps at Nitron to spec up the rear ones soon. The whole kit and caboodle is tied into the IRS and the rear role cage, so we get firm control and so you don't get a pain in your groin or any part of your anatomy when driving. It will be more I like trucking and I like to truck. This also marks a milestone, as once this is done and the cage is in, then Hellraiser will be cut off the build cradle and she will be standing on her own four wheels ... which for the moment will be boring s550 mustang onwa, ones until we find a wheel company that have some suitably retro but modern wheels we like, preferably centre lock as who doesn't like smashing your nuts with a big leather hammer. of course all this suspension artistry needs a model and we have a rough one worked up to hell with angles, leverage etc etc if i could work out how to load video i would let you see the fluid movement, but here is a still so you will have to use your imagination

So with the front end moved on we need to get a rolling chassis - so the focus is now on the back end A lot of measuring and chin scratching working out the inboard cantilever set up. From rough ideas to reality. What's gonna work best... |

Steering column and pedals in. We can almost sense the car moving around terra firma now… Yes steering wheel is on the right side and no that steering wheel is not staying

The one-piece front spoiler and valance is finished and flowing nicely from the front arches. To my eyes it looks even more shark like than the original , but pays a close homage.... [

Not sure what it is about this, but it looks fake. I think that curve is so perfect my mind is saying "Oh look, something made by a computer!" Phenomenal work, you've created such a perfect arch that my brain doesn't accept it I hope that's a compliment, it was tough but we found that a ten gallon drum and soft faced leather hammer combined with uncle marks sun lounger cushion produced this tremendous result !

The way the sills finish on the '69 is horrible. It's something you'd never notice normally because they're under the car, but we've spent so long under the car, looking up at them, they started to bug us. These still extensions are designed to drop down and curve under the original metalwork, not only tidying stuff up but also making the car LOOK even lower! By about an inch. as you can see no plastic or fibreglass was used in this process. so not only stylish very green ! may be kawasaki green but not quite full kermit

Front end progress. Developing lines. Following the angles from the hood and bumper and extending the lines from the arches, Mark has created something unique. There's still some fettling to do – smoothing of curves and subtle radii, but the front spolier is taking shape. Then some more progress! Flares blended in and to say we’re happy with them is an understatement!
