Saw these crop up on a local selling site. don't know if the guy knew their worth, as i got them at a steal. Needing a refurb, lacquer peel and light curbing. Geniune AMG monoblocks staggered 18x8 and 18x9. Guy was going to bin them! Freshly painted Ignore the scrap tyres on them, purchasing some new rubber soon!

Starting to chip away at little tasks. My main bug was the interior. Wood was a nasty light coloured wood, and was pretty faded, cracked and just looked honking. I got hold of some dark burl wood trim - but scratches, and small imperfections bug me (more than it should!) So i got it hydro dripped in carbon

don't you get the feeling that looking at the curves it would be so much quicker with a far smaller turbo and 200 bhp less, but not have to wait 3.5k rpm for the power to come in? Absolutely not. Gaining 400whp is 1k rpm is effing awesome. Thats also what the quickspooler manifold is for: keep the same turbo but bring it in sooner. And yes, it needs the skirts and rear bumper... badly! Lol

Thanks for the comments guys!
With the quaife she has 100% traction in the dry. Show it a cold morning, or a mildly damp road and it can catch you out though!

Whilst the car has been lazing around on my drive, someones been doing some experimenting!
Dieselpumpuk have made a quick spooling manifold to go with the same turbo i have. It came on boost 1k rpm sooner compared directly to my dyno, and on a 190cc pump it made 611.2whp (733bhp @ crank) and 705.1lbft (846lbft @ crank 1147nm!)
Its now being sent to the pump maker (Goran) in Finland to be attached to a built OM606 with H profile rods and a crank girdle plate - to see what it will make with more revs.
I guess thats my power sorted when the car is ready!

Yeah mine arent brilliant, really have to be careful about where you open it up. I'm debating the 350mm and 6 pot set up from D2 performance. Are you currently using the smaller 4 pots? No I'm still on standard solid discs and 1 pots haha!

I'm presuming your using the 300te 4 pots and brake set up? What are your thoughts?? I'm using the original single pot sliders!!! With the EBC greens they were fine, but that top speed day has killed them. I did make a big brake set up with R129 4 pots and huge discs, but they don't fit under the wheels. I'll be fitting the smaller 4 pots you mention this winter. They have a greater range of pad options compared to the sliders too. Yeah mine arent brilliant, really have to be careful about where you open it up. I'm debating the 350mm and 6 pot set up from D2 performance.

I was always told to be conservative with the throttle, due to the pump that was originally on the car revving too high and taking the engine into untested territory (8k rpm) I left the throttle on for too long in each gear chasing an R33 skyline. The next day it was making awful noises and eventually siezed. Snapped a rod. The look on the R33 owners face was totally worth the new engine though! It has since had a new engine and the turbo was wastegated with a screamer pipe. The pump was removed and the 8mm took its place, with a more modest rev limit. On this setup it made 362bhp. It currently has come off the road to sort a few things. And also up the power... and revs

This car receives alot of hate. Mainly from the diesel bashing brigade that don't like a classic mercedes to be faster than their M3 etc. The car is a white 1989 W124 E250 D. It has an OM606 3.0 engine (from a W210 E Class) 6 speed box from a W211 E270 cdi Sachs racing clutch and custom flywheel Large diff casing with quaife internals and heavy duty drive shafts 8mm manual injection pump from dieselmeken Borgwarner S300 turbo running 3 bar 3 inch turbo back stainless exhaust Big radiator and intercooler from an E300 W124 So this car appears 100% bone stock from the outside. Unless you twig the exhaust of course or the AMG front bumper. Under the bonnet is a bit more revealing.. The car made 562hp and 587 ft lb at the wheels. Crank figure is circa - 680bhp. And yes, it will still do 37mpg if you stay off boost.
