Some new interesting things to add here, so let's go. Well, i was there outside at my backyard looking for a screwdriver, when i remembered there were some old speakers laying around, so i searched them, found them and cleaned them. Then i moved them into my room and connected them to the 'Little B*st*rd' just to chek if they were in good condition, the worked perfectly fine and improved a lot my guitar tone, so i decided to connect them in a more appropiate way... Here pics begin In this pic you can notice i took the 'Little B@st@rd' out of it's case, while doing that i fixed properly it's speaker that had a little hole and then put it back together Here it is the connection i made, i put a cable as an out put for the amp, sadly my soldering iron died so i had to put it like this And that's all for today, i need to record a video showing more aspects of the work and a sound comparison with and without the sepakers, more updates coming soon... stay tuned

It’s hard to keep the motivation there when you have no money. If I'm in motivated mode but can't afford the time or money to do significant things, I switch to doing tiny insignificant things instead. It's amazing how much you can improve a vehicle by just picking off little niggles and small details bit-by-bit, and you still get that feel-good buzz of knowing you've made progress even if it's just a ten minute job. For me this might just be cleaning the dashboard, or hoovering the carpets. or getting a little pot of paint out and touching up some minor imperfections. I stopped my bonnet squeaking last week using two 1" lengths of fuel hose I'd pulled off the car the week before. It was a tiny thing that cost nothing but 3 minutes of my time. The effect on the car was amazing. For the entire time I've owned it the bonnet had been bouncing up and down, rattling and squeaking. I'd pretty much just got used to it. Now I've finally done something about it I feel like I'm driving a Bentley in comparison. If you can't make big progress, start on all the little things that aren't important enough to be a priority otherwise. You'll be amazed at how much progress you'll make for no money at all. Well yes, that's true... Today i was about to repair some more broken plastics with the soldering iron but unfortunately it didn't work so i need to get a new one, that's a big issue because i also needed to solder some electric components that i'll post and explain on the 'Retro guitars and more' thread. So following your words, next step will be to just clean the dashboard, and maybe the seats if i find a proper way to clean them, also i'm gonna fit some floor mats to make it look even more like a project rather than an abandoned old car

Great work! Coming together. Never seen a Pegaso, looks like a nice truck. ALways nice to see trucks from around the world. Visited the Czech Republic last year an d saw Tatras, yet another brand not seen at home Yes, Pegaso trucks and also buses are (were) very reliable, the brand stopped production a long time ago (not sure when), made in Spain, high quality vehicles, they also made some cars i believe. Never heard of Tatras, i'll search on google

As promised here are the pics Engine Air filter Engine bay And that's all for today, anyways some words now... Not sure if this truck is an '84 or '89 but sure it is a nice, reliable and overall cheap truck. This one has the original engine but most of these Pegaso 1234's (also known as Pegaso Troner) have a Scania engine swap, because of parts available, Scania parts are more common and easier to find than Pegaso ones, this combination is most known as 'Pescania'. Hoping to put the hoses on the radiator tomorrow to have the Pug ready for another engine start, more updates soon... TJM

Now back home, my grandfather bought the radiator hoses for me and also some bolts for the front bumper (no pics of them for now), so now i need to buy some fuel and we're ready to roll. No work on the car today, however i helped my grandfather on his truck: a Pegaso 1234... we cleaned the air filter and changed some broken bolts. Some pics later

young offender wrote Thanks. Yes, I'm content. I struggled to 'make it' as a musician for years and can relate to not being able to afford strings. In the early 90s we used to boil our strings to give them a new lease of life or take a whip round in the practice room to buy one string for whoever had broken one! Go round to Frank's on Coldharbour Lane and buy one string. What sort of music are you playing? I saw the Ramones poster and the style of the guitars suggests - rock/punk? Yes, you guessed right, i play mainly punk... my biggest influences are the Ramones and The Exploited, but i listen to a lot of bands of different genres, i also play some thrash metal, reggae, ska and rockabilly but punk is my main thing

Looking good, don't give up now your too far in. No way! I won't give up now, i've worked really hard this past week to make it look as it is now, still needs work to be sorted out, but i have lots of time so it's not a big deal.

Yea, i hope i can drive this car when i get my license, only 2 more years until i can get it. but to be honest i could drive it illegally right now, it will start after i put some new hoses on the radiator... That Pug there on Atelier Automobile looks perfect, and it's worth a lot!, here (Chile) a 505 in similar condition to that one on the website is worth like 4.500 EUR. Well, to be honest i was giving up on this project and was about to sell it, my mother was almost convincing me about it, but then i told her i would just take the parts lying on the backyard and throw them inside the car, so with that excuse i started working on it again It’s hard to keep the motivation there when you have no money. I always find the cleaning works as it keeps the motivation there but costs nothing. If you fill the engine with water it will start and you can run it for thirty seconds or so as a test, that’s what i always do Thanks for the tip, i'll try it. I have some money i earnt giving guitar lessons but it's only enough to buy the hoses OR fuel, not both, so not such a big motivation, anyways the car will remain untouched this week because i'll go on a trip with my family...

My Rig from left : 1982 Hondo Delux Strat J copy. Given to me by a neighbour in 1988. A really great Strat copy. Custom Fender Telecaster copy with American body and neck, hand wound pick-ups.Built up by a friend and I. Like a vintage Telecaster. 1974 Framus Nashville Delux. Owned by my uncle Paul since bought new in Potters in Richmond in '75. I inherited it when he passed. He played this every xmas so I grew up with it Cool guitars, i bet they sound as great as they look...

The strat needed some work, as you can see one of the single coils didn't go up, so repaired it by changing a screw, also sanded the fretboard and applied clearcoat to it, i don't have pictures of the repairs actually, but here are some pics i just took (because the ones of this guitar uploaded before are from 2014/15) As seen above the Strat is now missing a tuning peg, now to tell that we have to go back a bit and introduce the second electric guitar i got, bought it used in 2014 with some money my grandma gave me, it's a CROWN, Japan made guitar early 90's model. I bought it cheap because the headstock was a bit broken but still useable Pic from when i first got it one from 2016 Now these pics from 2017, when the 'tragedy' happened, so i was at school in music class with my bandmates, and as our turn to play had ended we decided to go out for a walk, when we returned it was our turn again so i picked up my guitar to play, instantly i noticed something wrong, the guitar was terribly out of tune, as this guitar has a Floyd Rose that only happens when a string breaks, well no string broken, but when i went out the guitar had fallen to the ground and someone left it in the same position i left it so i wouldn't notice... as it fell a bolt from a tuning peg broke in half, causing the string to lose tension and get the guitar out of tune, so i took out the string, the peg and left the guitar like that for some days We had to play live a few days after that happened, and as i dind't have money to buy a new screw or strings for the Strat, i decided to remove a bolt from the Texas and put it on the CROWN No more problems after that, so some more pics Here it is the CROWN next to a 1993 Dixon p-bass a.k.a 'The Anvil' that bass is a Fender replica, whole Fender electric circuit and Ernie Ball strings, it also got it's frets removed Few more pics of the CROWN Now this 1993 bass amp that came with 'the Anvil', it's a Samick BA25 made in Korea, but for some reason it's got Ibanez logo painted on the front And here my latest purchase: an early 90's Samick p-bass made in Korea, bought it cheap because the pickguard was broken but i repaaired with the soldering iron, also i had to re-wire it because the wiring was a mess (no pics of it) This one is from i first got it, before repairing the pickguard As seen here, the Samick is a bit smaller than a regular bass but it's really cool

Ok, i'll start with this guitar, on wich i started learning how to play about 4 years ago, a late 80's/early 90's Tizona acoustic guitar, made in Chile, really nice guitar, amazing sound, and 4 of the 6 strings are from 1997 Now let's go with my first electric guitar, got it on december 2013, a Texas Stratocaster, sunburst finish, not sure of it's date or place of origin but it also came with a early/mid 90's small 15w guitar amp made in Korea, a Drive CD100 a.k.a Little curse word

Ok, let's start something different on here, hope it works so let's go with it Well, my Peugeot 505 'The Nightmare' is not my only project, i have some early 90's guitars, amps and bass guitars that i've been working on, so i would like to share them here; but before uploading pics i would like to see what are the opinions on this thread, and also if you have any kind of musical instrument you can share it here...

Keep up the good work! It's coming together slowly but surely. If nothing else, I remember how fiddling with old cars at thirteen-seventeen taught me a lot about how they were put together and how they worked. Everything you do to this is improving it, and maybe you can get it roadworthy and drive it when you get your license? I was in the Classic Remise in Berlin this week, Atelier Automobile GmbH have one for sale. Was there in 2015, so the price is not right but it shows what can be achieved! www.atelier-automobile.de/verkauf-pkw/item/270-aus-freude-am-turbo.htmlYea, i hope i can drive this car when i get my license, only 2 more years until i can get it. but to be honest i could drive it illegally right now, it will start after i put some new hoses on the radiator... Good lad TJM. When I was your age, myself & some pals had a Mk1 3dr ford escort that we got for free to fix up. Which we did. Eventually it was scrapped because other stuff (i.e. Girls) got in the way.. Wish I stuck with the escort! Keep up the good work. Looks better now that it's "moveable" CFD Yes, sure it does look better, this week about four or five cars have stopped near me to tell me things like 'nice ride' or 'car looking good' even if they say it as a joke it's nice to hear, i'm currently freeing up some space on my phone to take more pictures so i can take some more and maybe with better angles. Thanks for the reply. TJM

Thanks for all the replies and support, motivates to keep up with the work. You already know yesterday i took the front wheels to the tire shop and changed them for a pair of newer tires i had gotten from my uncle, unfortunately one of them losed air so i had to take it again to the shop, they apologized and fitted it again, also i took the rear wheel that wasn't in so bad condition and got it re-fitted to the rim; so now all 4 tires with air and fitted properly, sorry but took no pics because i ran out of space on my phone, however here are some pics of the car jacked up (took them from under the car) As you may know i'm just 15 years old, maybe one of the youngest around this forum, anyways you probably are asking where do i get money from, well i'll tell you that i started giving guitar lessons, also sometimes my grandma hands me some money; not very interesting what i'm telling but it's so you get to know a bit more about the project... Someone said that i have been around here for 15 months, well i've changed a lot in that 15 months, now i'm more proactive and know more things that help to get the car in shape, well i wont write more because the thread is about the car, not about me... any questions are welcome i'll answer them as quickly as i can TJM

Maybe some of you were expecting an update or maybe not, however here it is: the latest work done on 'the nightmare'... First of all inflated the tires and pushed the car a few meters back, the tires were losing air so had to be constantly putting air to succesfully move the car, once done, scraped like a ton of dirt and grass from the pavement were the car was, oh forgot to say that the brakes were blocked so had to repair that before moving it, having that done and having moved the car (note that my grandfater was helping) we decided to go and change the tires, i was saving some money to buy a guitar amp but guess who's rolling new tires... Also cleaned the brakes and engine7 engine bay with diesel, some more work and updates coming soon... anyways here are some pics: Wheels out, ready to change Back from the tire shop, wheels in with 'new' tires random pics
