And while I think on. Hoy, almcal! What happened to a Postcard from Palawan? Assuming you didn't get kidnapped of course! Like to know how the rest of the trip went... Morning George! Sorry for the radio silence. Life has kicked me squarely in the plums after getting back. Full of lurgy and back at work, that'll teach me.... Palawan was excellent, apart from the 8 hour delay on the way home. The airport resembles a large cattle shed, in fact I think I've seen better facilities in some sheds! The island it's self is amazing though, seen the underground river, climbed Ugong rock and ziplined back down it, went out on a couple of cheap Chinese quads and broke a couple of chains attempting to do donuts, while getting covered in buffalo sh*t. Did some serious damage to the hotels beer stock, and generally admired just how green it is down there! It really is a very pretty part of the world once you get away from the city centre. The roads are interesting to say the least... You'll never complain about another road in Manila anyway! How anyone is alive is beyond me, driving down pitch black lanes in the middle of the night with no lights on. Random roadworks everywhere... we decided against doing any driving, and just be designated drunk! Id highly reccomend a trip down there, id like to go back myself and go see El Nido, and see what the fuss is about. So many places to see, so little time!

Well, it's been an eventful couple of days in Manila. George is a gent, and a curse word beer monster! Exile in Manila we'd never have found without him, and the L.A. cafe, well... that speaks for it's self 😂. Cracking to meet you George! Next time we're in Manila we'll definitely look you up! All I'm saying is we never left, and a couple of bottles of spirits made it's way to the Table, and oh my, how friendly everyone is in here! 😂 Good health mate! Alistair

Coming live to you from Malate. Just been over to 7-11 for "supplies". It's a bit wet. Across from 7-11 it's knee deep. You will note there is nothing showing on our Drown-o-Meter. At the moment, we're calling this a "Tropical Depression" Could be wetter in a couple of hours. Wow, hope this little lot disappears! I'm there in 8 weeks time, and I wasn't planning on packing wellies!

Up for reluctant sale is my 1993 7 series. I bought this last year from an 84 year old gent who was giving up driving, and his wife refused to drive it as it was too big for her! First things first, this is a 23 year old car, it is far from immaculate. I bought it with the intentions of performing a rolling restoration, but due to me having to move away for work, and me losing my parking and garage space for it, it has to go. First things first, paint. Lacquer is peeling on the sun roof, and the rest of the paint looks like it has been washed with a Brillo pad! It really does still shine up very well, but up close you do notice it! Still reading? Good. The interior is very very clean on this car. It has the original mats, very clean electric leather seats, dual zone air con which works (but only on full, common bmw resistor trouble!), the original first aid kit is under the seat still in its shrink wrap. The torch is still charging away in the glove box. Sun roof still tilts and slides, electric blind in the rear window worked the one and only time I used it, on the test drive! The dashboard. If you know these cars, or pretty much any BMW from 80s-90s you will know they like to destroy pixels. Not this one! Every pixel of the display works on this car! I will tell you (because nobody told me, and I noticed months later!!) That some scoundrel has taped over the air bag light which blinks away quite happily under the black tape. It also suffers from the 'mustard relay' trouble, which brings up false warnings of bulbs being blown when you have the lights on sometimes. Never really bothered me, just clear it and carry on cruising! Engine, what a peach! It really does cruise nicely! It will happily sit with modern traffic all day long, and still show a clean pair of heels to many more! Gears shift nicely, sport, normal and the other mode all work on the gearbox. In the boot there is another full sized spare alloy wheel, most of the tool kit is there, but some barsteward has pinched the pliers! The alloys are all in fairly food condition, no major kerb rash, or anything that wouldn't scrub up with a bit of tlc and a sponge!
The only rust I can find on this car is 2 small spots under the back window. With some of the projects I have seen on here it definitely wouldn't phase most of you, but it is worth mentioning I feel.
I have tried to be as honest as I can about this car. Feel free to come and have a look, have a drive, have a poke about! I really have no idea how to price this car, as there really aren't many left now, so if you feel I've priced it too high make me a sensible offer. Not really interested in swaps as such, but if you're really desperate to swap this for your Bentley, Rolls Royce, Range Rover, or Maybach I could be tempted. Let me know what you have all I can say is no.
I am only on mobile at the moment so I can't upload any photos, if you want some you can contact me on 07929355629. I have WhatsApp, email, and a carrier pigeon somewhere to get the photos to you!
Thanks for looking! Al
