Yeah just let me know; I'm happy to share files, drawings, and component list with you if you'd like to make some. I can supply dxf files so that you just give the files to your local laser/plasma guy to run. Only difficult part is finding a small enough TIG torch to weld the insides of them... Build cost ends up being pretty similar to the price of buying the ones that Historic racing etc. sell. A guy in the UK did contact me a while back about making another run of them, but I really have to make like 5-10 sets to offset all the shipping costs of procuring components from ~5 different vendors. I think I barely came out even the first run of 5 I did, but I was also still working through the design details for that set. Hi Crackfox loving following your build of your fulvia. I'm in the middle of my second Fulvia resto/mod Taddraughn (Sorry to hijack the thread) Ive just been through your fantastic drawings on the Lancisti forum and would like to make a set for myself. Would it be ok to use your design ideas? Also I understand that one of the key things about your rollers is the hardened steel sleeve over the bolt which increases the "rollerie ness" (don't know the correct engineering term) of the needle rollers and so they shouldnt get flats on the Nylon and last longer.

Nice job on the lip of the nose. Thats a place on the fulvia that is tricky to make nice. I had to do this recently on my fulvia project car. this is before the tidy up.

I forgot about this little effort from earlier in the day. The fuel pump and tank filter required some kind of mounting system, so I made this, and rigged up a secure fixing for it. I LOVE Rivnuts! The scruffy hoses are temporary offerings Nice. Also like a rivnut..Hahaha !

Iron cylinder 'Block' on an alloy crankcase is certainly unusual outside of 'flat' or pre-war engines too. Shame the the 1.6 are so rare & overpriced? compared to the 1.3s though. Dad's craving a little more power for his 1.2, & tempted by 1.3 added revisions apart from cost, rarity & difficulty making room for the 5-speed transaxle. But having done only 70k km it doesn't justify the effort. He did buy an injected Flavia 2000 engine for his 2000 berlina though, for it's bigger valves/porting/cams intending to run that carburetor'd due to the challenges, cost & rarity of the original injection systems & parts. i also have a 1200 fulvia forum.retro-rides.org/thread/187827/fulvia-1200-coupeand you can make them go better without costing the earth. A tube manifold from the 1300 and a set of the solex 35mm carbs also from the 1300 will make a noticeable difference without too much trouble or cost. The cast exhaust manifold isnt great on the 1200 and the 32mm carbs need to go with that cast manifold. These should be fairly easy bolt on revisions . The change to 5 speed is alot more involved. Anyway the 4 speed that the first series cars have is perfect for the style of car that the they are. The 2000 berlina is a lovely car and injection would be great.

I did fit the powerspark kit and it works really well. You do have to take the distributor to bits but it works perfectly and would definitely recommend it.

At Goodwood, recently, I was able to video with the go-pro fixed in the car but I was not allowed to film as a passenger while carrying the go-pro.

Congratulations! I would love to drive that historic track, very envious. it was an excellent adventure. Ive never done anything like that and driving a 50 year old car that youve put back together yourself is a massive thrill. I was flat out at about 80 mph down the long straight and an Delta Integrale overtook me like I was standing still. Thats something I wont forget in a hurry. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. I got quite brave by the end of my session and hardly used the brakes. The little fulvia handles amazingly well. Its not surprising that Lancia developed it into a world rally champion.

Well Ive finally got there. I have been saying for a very long time now that I wanted to drive the fulvia round Goodwood and now done!!! every year about Easter time the Lancia Motor Club organise a trackday and I have usually gone to it as its not far from me. For at least 17years I have said that I wanted to do it. I joined the club and booked the trackday and then worried about taking a fifty year old car that Ive rebuilt myself round a race track. The day started early and looked like the weather would hold off raining. I had the safety brief and even had a couple of laps with on of the instructors giving a demo of the racing lines and track tips. I joined the queue to have the car tested for the 98db noise limit they have. The fulvia has a none standard exhaust and so failed the test ......105db on their meter !!!!! luckily one of the other drivers had already come prepared and gave me a stainless steel pad to stuff up the exhaust and wire up so That I could pass the test. made it through the test but made the car really slow. The first sesion round the track I was very nervous...I was up with a bunch of very fast full out track cars with at least twice the horsepower. But also I have never driven on a track before. So the first session I got lapped by all the other cars. heres a bit of the video I took. Later on I took my son out and by then I had a bit more confidence and started to push it round the corners. The fulvia was superb. Amazing how well they handle. No wonder the little 1200 coupe became a 1600 rally champion. So Ive finally realised my goal; drive the fulvia at goodwood. Best of all no crashes or blown-up engines. Infact the little 1200 was rearing to go. heres some shots of the day heres a great video of the fulvia1436. how it meant to be done!!!

thanks guys the earths are good. I redid the originals to ensure they were not rusty and added another going from the subframe near the clutch cable mount onto the body at the bulkhead. So hopefully not the trouble. The electrics for lights and especially indicators were 100% better after. When I removed the voltage regulator which eneded life in a smoking mess the earths were all suspect. The only thought was that the clutch cable may have been an earth for a while before I did sort out the electrics?

finished fitting the refurbed fan box and drove the fulvia for the first time since the subframe and suspension overhaul. The primer fuel pump and filter doesnt seem to work anymore. Not sure why? So I bypassed that and with just the filter and no electric pump went straight to the mechanical fuel pump. I drove the fulvia and it feels totally different with good suspension and apart from the exhaust knocking a bit on the body all went well. The fan heater worked flawlessly and I needed it as it was cold and damp. Lots of oil pressure and nice silky steering and the gearbox is smooth too. happy with that!!
