Not much happening with the Mx at the mo, again stock piling a few bits.
Items bought, waiting to be fitted
-Arc chamber -Vented headlight cover -cat back exhaust -Bootlid with ducktail -Hard top(collecting after the 18th)
Then it'll be onto picking up some coilovers,SS manifold and a cat bypass to finish off exhaust front to back.
After that I'll take stock and figure the next step....most likely brakes and more suspension upgrades etc

Well today consisted of a trip to Cleverley repaired cars in Suffolk for a chance to meet a local Mx5 garage and for ease(car ramp) pop my GV style lip on, chuck my new wheels on too and a front chassis brace. Was good meeting Vinnie and there's lots of new ideas floating around. Turboing was his fave idea but I'm going to stick to the ITB route pics shortly....

Howabout ITB's and Charger..........nice capture on the Racing Beat Intake. I am just toying with a Civic rad install on mine its half the width of a normal Mx5 rad and twice the depth so should allow loads more cold air into the bay. I like the idea of the Civic rad, added to the list ha!

I love the sound of ITBs, I love the sound of the charger more. Always wanted ITB's and this feels like the perfect car for them. Had a turbo on my AW11 mk1.5, never had a charger but that is definitely on the bucket list!

Picked up this little bargain off the Mx5nutz forum, it looks great and that induction sound is pretty lush. Regardless of whether there is any performance gain or not, the sound alone was worth it ha! Makes me even more excited for ITB's! Quick 10 min job..... .....and it was on. Next up is delivery of wheels/tyres, then pop on a few other bits piling up in the garage and it'll look halfway to how I want it too. Roll on Thursday and my next day free for playing with the 5. This little car is pretty addictive!

I am Running GSXR ITB's on mine if you want some advice. Thank you I'm going to sort it to look just how I want it, as well as upgrade braking and suspension. Then it'll be ITB time, between you and Goldnrust giving lots of tips, I'm excited for that part of the plan. Induction update coming shortly.....

try googling Randall intake it draws cold air from the scuttle area under the windscreen That was one of the plans but grabbed a solution second hand that will suffice until it's ITB time.

Not much to update at the mo just been driving her and getting a feel for these brilliantly fun cars. I've been stock piling a few parts I've acquired over the past few days, should be looking a lot different come Thursday I did pop out the seat belt relaxer fuse, so much better when you have a snug seatbelt!

Looks nice and tidy base to start from, pleased to hear you found a good one The air intake in the position will be catching much cooler air than standard, it should be catching cool air coming in from the turn signal intakes. If you added a separator of some sort to stop air from the TSI mixing with warm air from the radiator you'll probably be there, a bit like this turbo owner has done. Alternativly, the cowl intake route seems to be one of the most popular tried and tested methods. Cheers for the input, that is very similar to the idea I have in mind Going to PM you a few q's!

That CAI is pretty poxy, but the whole idea of a CAI is to suck fresh air in from outside the engine bay. Cutting it off behind the light seems a little redundant. I Agree, hence the rather tongue in cheek reference to it being a "CAI" in the previous post, but not to worry plans for a better system are in place for my next set of days off. That was merely to help it in the mean time(which it did). Thanks for the input

Sorted the previous owners home made "CAI" out today, temporary solution until I decide what route induction wise I'm going to take, if any.... Before After This was the shape of the tube I removed, it ran under the headlight unit and down toward the front grill, as I'm sure you'll agree lots of smooth air flow ran through here ha!

"S-Spec kit includes black paintwork, a set of 14-inch BBS alloy wheels, Bilstein dampers, a strut brace, a rear spoiler, and a Nardi steering wheel and gearknob in the cabin" Check, check and check! it'd seem it's an S-Spec good spot! About to de-badge ha The front badge is not a V badge, it is the logo for all Eunos branded cars, Eunos Cosmo etc. I am also the owner of a 92 K reg black s spec Haha well that shows how little I know about these cars at the moment, but to be fair the last owner had it for 8 years and said the 'V' badge referred to it being a V-Spec, so I don't feel too bad about being a noob! .....and it was always getting debadged that wasn't just a moment of madness lol Took her for a spin earlier and she's so much fun!
