I'm after a pair of universal or eyed coilovers, i need to run them around 380mm long so anything with adjustment either side is fine! roughly 10mm holes either end but i can work with this.
anyone got anything lying about? cheers!

apologies if its in the wrong place but thought this might be of interest to some of you.. I'm at the stage in my project where i want to start doing some beadrolling that will be on show. door cars, inserts ect and its something i really wanted to have a mess with, i already had a chinese/metz beadroller which i had stiffened using box section and made a base. it was great for little parts but wasnt sturdy enough to do bigger stuff mainly as needing a hand to turn the handle, and when your asking someone else to slow down you never feel like you are in control.... so, i looked at buying a motorised roller, which was way to expensive for the amount i would use it, or convert mine. there are lots of videos on youtube of people using allsorts of wierd and wacky things, stairlift motors to drills ect but it all looked abit heath robinson for me. untill i found this : www.wnealservices.com/product/wns-bead-roller-drive-system-brd-22/a conversion kit that looked very professional, but the price was just too much for me. so... after some research and measuring i decided to find the parts myself. one motor/gearbox and speed control system ; £105 one lovejoy coupling : £17.80 lost the bloody images at this point but the coupling comes with pilot holes and you just open them out to what you need, bead roller shaft size was 25mm and the gearbox output shaft was 12mm. once those were opened i removed the handle from the roller, slid the motor gearbox on and then started measuring for a bracket to mount everything up. once it was mounted i connected some power, rested the speed control module on and gave it a try! looked good to me!! the next thing was to sort a foot pedal, giving you two hands to hold the workpeice. this came in at £9.49 no benefit to the function but i didnt like the "stickerbombed" look so threw some very very bad pinstipes on it.. added a little guard, added a mount for the speed control and wired everything up, removing the start hand switch and wiring in the foot pedal, adding a forward and reverse (very simple to do using the jumpers on the control box) then fitted everything back up. works spot on! next i started to mess with wheels, wanting to do some diamond patterns. used a nylon lower wheel and a home made tipping wheel on top.. the look came out ok but i needed a much softer lower wheel to indent the material, soo off to ebay for a set of soft skateboard wheels.. thats as far as I'm upto for now but thought it might be of interest for some of you lot. whole motorisation cost so far is just under £150 depending on what steel, brackets, paint and cable you have lying around. i do have the links and part numbers if needed. unsure to post them up publicly as i feel members of the forum should be able to ask me but don't want to publicly throw it online for the whole world to see without signing up first. cheers!

ive just seen this thread for the first time and i can honestly say i am really pleased to hear about your daughter,i wish you and her all the best for 2020.
sometimes these old cars show their soul, i think thats why we all love them. every now and then when they need to be relied on they almost come to life and do their bit. it sounds like that to me anyway!

ive not long picked myself up a 1950 plymouth special deluxe, so next week on nights i will be reading this front to back! You should bring the Plymouth along to the Coleshill Breakfast Meet on the 26th Jan it would be nice to see you there? i go the coleshill meet most months, usually on a harley bobber. ill get a build thread up soon for the plymouth cheers

i used kunifer 3/8 pipe along my chassis rails with short lengths of rubber onto fuel pump and engine, this was mainly due to the vibration either end causing weakness.
