It's a 200 watt (ish) Bosch electric water pump, I get them from breakers / ebay for a fiver so not worth fixing.
Leak is caused by leaking from pipe fittings, O-ring between pump and motor failure or shaft/seal/bearings worn out.
Just get one from ebay for a fiver.

Heat wrapped the downpipe as it passes very close over the steering box now that the turbo is further forward than with stock 605, thw wrap also covers up our shoddy welding, it seems to be some kind of very itchy GRP and was a tenner. DP is now warm to the touch when fully warmed up mind.. Perhaps a clearer shot of how we fitted the Mitsubishi Evo6 intercooler, those hoses may be blue and red and awful but they are genuine junkyard found Samco. I would like to open out the front crossmeber and add air inlets in the bumper, but simple ducting may be just as effective and less visually damaging than bumper holes? This shows the length of the engine and (poorly shows) the lack of clearance between visco fan mount and radiator.I wonder if the MOT guy will notice it has more cylinders than when he MOT'd it last month.. LOL

Another MOT fail was the delaminating number plates, so I got some pressed aluminium ones from eBay, £20 delivered for the pair, gives it a kind of euro look: Tailgate dent was from drunk pushing it around our steep as hell drive. Damn it.. What the fook is that Veilside RX7 doing photobombing my photo?!?! Pahah I didn't even see that!

First drill using the hosepipe to provide water 'under pressure'. It is nowhere near enough, water doesnt even fill the string, you can hear it pouring down the scaff bar. Need MORE. Hosepipe was off in this picture but you can see all the sand / soil / silt which it lifted out the hole, interestingly small pebbles and stones which were suspended in the soil all sink to the bottom and ends up as a pile of gravel at the bottom of the hole which eventually snags up the bit so much that it grinds to a halt. drilled 24" before that happened though. So I think we will fit the original helix auger with an adapter for the drill string so we can fit it and clean out the hole of gravel every few feet or meter.. Note the water was turned off in this pic. Me looking very very special here, note the debris surrounding the hole which the water has carried out, the thing is working! We have a small honda water pump to use when we are over there but it is still only a 1" ID pipe outlet on that pump, I might buy a bigger one, as its large water volume that is needed to carry the cuttings up and out the hole. We may make our own cutting mud by using a biodegradeable thickener additive for the water as this will greatly increase the cutting lift rate, but it might kill the pump, cornflower or gelatine is what people use for potable water wells.. We will see, if anything it would definitely make it more fun to watch like the ghost busters river of slime.. More pictures to follow. PS we now have big black chickens:

Crank speed sensor was the fault! The only sensor I left on the donor engine god!! Grr I'll make a driving video and scheduled out instructions for the conversion soon. Euro plates and bumper cutouts complete:

The 6 speed box can be had for £150/200, and the gearbox mount is a direct fit to the chassis, again prop might need to be shortened, but I know a kit car company that will cut and balance to your dims for £80

Hi mate thank you very much, I am quite impressed with my own results also..
I used the original 605 mounts to sit the engine as back as originally, there is 5mm between head and bulkhead, he 606 mounts would have sat it 1" forward.
The flywheel was only swapped to keep the original ecu happy with the rpm's, otherwise it would have regulated the idle speed 1/6th slower than it should be (600 not 700). The flywheel didn't affect gearbox mounting at all, the entire transmission is stock, ideally I would have bought a manual c250 to begin with but they are rare, the 6 speed manual and flywheel and clutch from the c220/e220 cdi is a direct swap to the mounts and engine, but I think you need the prop from a manual w202, this option allows a mechanical IP to be fitted and the entire ecu control removed from the running gear, currently I would need a standalone controller for the 722.6 auto.
Regarding your weight distribution issue, to be honest it handles well, it doesn't under steer hardly, and more foot counteracts that anyway, personally it's not worth the effort, and it's most fun on a straight line as it launches like a whore.. Lol. Cutting the front panels for clearance is easy anyway.
Few beers in and I'm writing this on my phone and I can't remember what else you said.. Ha

Well I love mine, bought for £420 from gumtree, wiper mechanism was curse word, £25 used one from ebay (w210 one fits also), bought a cream interoir for £120 also from ebay, numberplates delaminating were also an MOT fail, £20 delivered for a pair of pressed alu. ones, and poltergheists also operate my heater, who cares! Bigger intercooler was £27 from the bay, it needed a few bulbs as per any old Mereceds. Needed 2 small very localised rust holes welding up which fortunately I ddi myself. Total cost under £1k! Oh and its a sport so it handles like a boss also, 175k miles.. Oh and it needed a balljoint which was £13 and took me an hour whilst intoxicated. STAR diagnostics are good for most problems, if not then its just a case of swapping out things usually sensors with second hand repalcements until the problem is sorted! Simple.

Update. We have made 3 meters of drill string including the 1m part of the bit, 10.no interconnects made, we need more scaffold tube.. Does anybody have any offcuts they would like to donate? Can collect. 2" ID very thick wall tube was sut up to make interconnects, fits nice inside the 50mm OD scaffold bar sections. There is a 1-2mm gap around the circumference though and I think too much water will leak out.. As it is not under much pressure we will try gaffa tape, first as a gasket between the two tubes, then wrapping it around each joint, crude but we will see! I don't want to have to machine O-ring grooves in each interconnect. This is the latest drill tip idea, it leaves 4 small holes pointing forward where the water can 'jet' out of to help loosen the dirt as it cuts, perhaps I explained that badly, but small orifices should allow the water to exit with some force to loosen the 'soil'..

The project is all finished and running, appart from a fault where it gets warmed up and runs fine and adter 20 minutes the engine shuts off and won't restart until its completely cooled down!?!?!
Thoughts and input welcome and appreciated! No faults appear on STAR diags, just shuts off like you've turned the key, no overheating or any other issues, all we have to try it a new rpm sensor.. If that doesn't work then its f&%ed.

Front spring perch corrosion: This is caused by poor paint / mastic at the joint, but mine was only corroded on the outside edge! Completely bemused as to how and why its so localised! Extra drunk careful marking out cuts adhered to here: Seamed 2mm for the repair Red because racecar. Then we realised the grinder shield fits percfectly! Gona use that for patch material next time!!

So we had some rust issues, 1" drain hole turned into big brown monster, thoughtt it was into a hollow chassis section full of foam and after tearing loads out using pliers I realised it was a rear passenger footwell and I'd ripped out most of the carpet underlay.. LOL Redoxide red because racecar.. Nice easy patch to do with top access for sure!

I would be concerned with the oil cooler and lines draining down during long shutdown ie. overnight, and then the engine lubrication system running dry until the circuit is primed and presurised.
I suggest at minimum a spring loaded ball check valve on both sides at low level, just my 2 centimes.
