This is mine in the lavender color, in case you were wondering what it would look like! It's a Daimler 4.2 manual. The clutch is slipping. The rear brakes have developed a nasty, embarrassing squeal and the windows move very, very slowly. It's cold and wet at the moment, so I've currently parked it up until I can face the long list of jobs it needs doing to it. Ideally I would pull the engine and box to sort the clutch and fit the big valve head, triple SU's/Webbers and 123 ignition system while I have it all out. Whether I ever find the time/money to do any of it….. Good luck with yours, it looks very tidy. I love this - looks great in that colour, I've wanted an XJC for ages, and it will be my next car (have to sell a couple of things first) I do prefer the Daimler grill and boot plinth

Ha - where do I start on this one ? Many many moons ago I had a MK ll Capri JPS (no pics I'm afraid) and that was just a gorgeous car and great fun to drive, also, way back in the day I had quite a few MK 1 Escorts including a couple of 1300 E's and a 1300 GT which were also great fun. But my current E30 318 is, is one of my fav cars ever it's just a great car to drive, loves to rev, goes great on the twisty bits, and I still think the E30, particularly the 2 door, is probably one BMW's most iconic cars, loved the world over, OK so the 318 is, isn't a patch on it's M3 sibling, or not as powerful as its other sibling, the 325 Sport, but it is such a great little car. I've had it almost 4 years, and I'm only the second owner, but I've spent something akin to the national debt of Greece on it but, I just love it and doubt if I'll ever sell it. I'm currently on the lookout for an E30 Touring ! to keep it company

Love the 190 E's, I've had two, first was just a 1992 1.8 manual in silver, I bought it from its second owner, only had 77,000 miles, I kept it for 3 and a bit years, did about 35/36,000 completely trouble free motoring with it. I sold it, bought a C200 Sport auto (in yellow ) and it wasn't a patch on the 190, had to have new battery, new starter motor + new discs n pads, I only kept it for 18 months, then I had a few different cars whilst on the look-out for another nice 190E, which I found at Central Car Auctions near Glasgow, it was a smoke silver 2.0 auto, 105,000 miles with extensive history, also a 92 car, it was totally unmarked apart from 1 tick shaped scratch on the boot lid, it had AMG alloys, which I had refurbed, + a major service done, and a star for the bonnet as it didn't have one, I kept it for almost two years, and with my purchase price, + the £750 I spent on it, I only lost £50 when I sold it which I regretted almost immediately. These 190's + other older Mercs were so solidly built - they were virtually made from girders !!

What a great turnout 8-) some lovely cars there, love the BMW E9's, especially the orange Alpina - did I see a couple of Falcon GTHO's, love these, we used to live on the Gold Coast - 1989 - 1992, a guy I worked beside had one of them, what a car. I had an XE S Pack.
Have to disagree with you saying that the Lotus Europa is ugly :o you will go on the naughty step for that LoL
Great post tho
