That Husky was really nicely put together, the detail was great on it. Sadly I had to throw away boxes of Street Machine magazines last year, I couldn't even give them away. Shaun crowe who owns VW Scene has this in Preston I've been out in it

I used to have one fun to drive and go well but softly sprung and very tail happy . No power streering so a bit heavy on the spot . Leak in for england i used to sit on a plastic bag as the seat foam is glued to the floor and soak everything up . Dodgy electrics due to damp and bad earths Also check the bottom of the footwells as these scrape on the floor with the soft suspension and wear away i had to glass mine up . You can get a V8s if the V6 isant quick enough but i thought mine was great and it howlled through the stright through stainless exhaust

Just a bit of an update I've had it the road for the last few weeks but had some breakdowns I had my concerns when I bought it about it running hot so changed the thermostat and converted it to electric fan but lately its been pressurising the coolant system and blowing hoses off and over heated and so it s back home now and off the road and gonna get stuck back into making it a camper again then lower the rear end and then I'll do a compression test and pull the head off I'll get some more pictures up soon

Ive lowered the front of my van by cutting the springs down and adding caravan spring assisters . The number plates are states plates I bought my adapters from america you can get various sizes and stud patterns , mine are bmw as i has a set of ac schnitzer wheels off my e36 plus there is a massive choice of bmw out there at fair money . I had cut down my front studs as they were to long for the front adapters but the backs were no problem i picked the best affset to suit the rear of my van as mines a coachbuilt and theres plenty of room for 17" as long as you get the offset right with your adapters . Tuning wise my vans has an 1 3/4SU conversion and k&n also the heads been skimmed because the vans used the same engines as the cars but had lower compression . Plus a rc40 exhaust Any other info you need give me a shout also join commer van fan the are a very knolageable and friendly bunch of peeps

Good point I'm hoping months of being started on the drive and not going anywhere was the cause but definitely going to keep an eye on the plugs as I put some miles on it

Checked all the leads while it was running and it was down a cylinder so tried a differant lead and it was still the same so i pulled the plug and it was fouled up . Gave it a good clean and van fired a lot better took it for a run and by the time i got to work it was running great again thanks
